Erkannt werden.Dies war das Verständniss und die Praxis der Sahaba und sie waren die beste
Gemeinschaft,die edelste aus der Sicht von Allah ta ala,mit dem vollständigsten Iman und den
Edelsten Charaktereigenschaften.Wie können wir von diesem Weg abweichen?(Higab S12,13)

Auszug aus dem Buch "Tauhid" von Dr. Abu Aminah Bilal Philips
Wörtlich bedeutet Tauhid „etwas für einzig erklären" (als eins erklären) oder „Einheit ausdrücken". Dieser Begriff stammt von dem arabischen Verb "wahhada", was sprachwissenschaftlich „zu einem machen" bedeutet. Wird der Ausdruck Tauhid jedoch im Zusammenhang mit Allah (z.B. Tauhid-ullah) verwendet, so versteht man darunter die Verwirklichung und Aufrechterhalten der Einheit Allahs bei allen menschlichen Handlungen, die direkt oder indirekt mit Allah zu tun haben.
Es ist der Glaube, dass Allah einzig ist, ohne Partner in seiner Herrschaft und seinen Handlungen (Rububiyah), einzig in seinem Wesen und seinen Eigenschaften (Asma wa Sifat) ohne irgendeine Ähnlichkeit zu etwas anderem. Er ist einzig in seiner Göttlichkeit ohne Mitstreiter und einzig in der Anbetung (Uluhiyah/Ibadah). Diese drei Aspekte bilden die Grundlage für die Kategorien, in welche die Lehre über Tauhid herkömmlich unterteilt wurde. Diese drei Aspekte überschneiden sich und sind derart unzertrennlich, dass wer auch immer einen Aspekt weglässt, die Erfordernisse des islamischen Monotheismus nicht mehr erfüllt. Das „Weglassen" einer der oben genannten Aspekte des Tauhid wird als Schirk bezeichnet. Schirk bedeutet „das Beigesellen von Partnern zu Allah". In der islamischen Terminologie ist dies letztendlich Vielgötterei.
Die drei Kategorien der Einheit Allahs (Tauhid) sind:
1. Tauhid ar-Rububiyah (wörtl. die Aufrechterhaltung der Einheit in der Herrschaft Allahs).
2. Tauhid al-Asma was-Sifat (wörtl. die Aufrechterhaltung der Einheit in den Namen und Eigenschaften Allahs).
3. Tauhid al-Ibadah / al-Uluhiyyah (wörtl. die Aufrechterhaltung der Einheit im Gottesdienst zu Allah

Auszug aus dem Buch "Tauhid" von Dr. Abu Aminah Bilal Philips

Dr Afifi Al Akiti menjadi pensyarah di Universiti Oxford pada usia 34 tahun. Beliau anak melayu pertama yang menjadi pensyarah di Universiti Oxford.
Latar belakang beliau dari pendidikan asas di Selangor seterusnya ke sekolah pondok di Indonesia, Maghribi dan Syria.
Beliau juga dilantik menjadi imam di Ireland. Meraih ijazah pertama dalam Bidang Falsafah Nasrani.
Beliau juga mampu menguasai 7 bahasa iaitu Bahasa Melayu, Perancis, Latin, Arab, Inggeris, Jerman, Yunani.
