König Schakrawarti Farmad beobachtete einer indischen Überlieferung zufolge die Mondspaltung und begann zu recherchieren, was es damit auf sich hatte. Auf diese Weise entstand die erste muslimische Gemeinde auf dem indischen Subkontinent. Wir wissen natürlich nicht, ob es den Menschen vielleicht nur so schien, als wäre der Mond gespalten. Ein ähnliches Wunder, bei dem sich ein Gestirn verändert, ist das Sonnenwunder von Fatima am 13. Oktober 1917. Bei diesem von (einer drei Kindern erschienenen) Maryam (Maria) angekündigten Wunder machte die Sonne plötzlich unglaubliche Bewegungen außerhalb aller kosmischen Gesetze und schien sich den 30000-40000 Zeugen zu nähern. Das Sonnenwunder wurde ebenfalls noch in einiger Entfernung beobachtet. Der verstorbene Papst Johannes Paul II. hat dieses Sonnenwunder übrigens als ein Zeichen im Hinblick auf eine Verständigung mit dem Islam interpretiert, da Maryam (Maria) ausgerechnet in einem Ort erschienen sein soll, der den Namen der Tochter des Propheten Mohammed (saws), Fatima, trägt.
