If you are argue on the basis of secular liberalism that segregation of the sexes is a good thing, then that's a perfectly fine and balanced opinion, after all she's had years of experience in this department. But if you're a muslim and you argue the same point but from the perspective that it's what Allah swt has decreed. That He being the creator of the universe would naturally mean He know what is best for His creation and has far more knowledge and understanding than any human being - then that is viewed as absurd, irrational, somehow oppressive towards women and devalues them.
