Four Israeli Spies Charged in Egypt
Egypt courtEgypt's public prosecutor charged on Tuesday two men it said were Zionist intelligence agents and two Egyptians with conspiring in Zionist interests, according to a statement from the prosecutor's office, Reuters news agency reported.
"The public prosecutor ordered Ramzy Mohammad, Sahar Ibrahim, Samuel Ben Zeev and David Wisemen- two officers in the Zionist Mossad - to be sent to a Cairo criminal court for spying for the interests of the state of Israel," the statement read.
The two Egyptians are already in jail pending investigation, it added.
The public prosecutor ordered the arrest of the two Zionist officers, but it was not clear whether they were in Egypt.
The Egyptians are accused of providing information about Egypt to the Zionist officers with "the intent of damaging national interests in exchange for money and gifts and sex."
The statement said that the two Egyptians had admitted that they had "committed the crime of spying for Israel" during investigations.

Kerry, Abbas to Hold Talks in Paris
US Secretary of State John Kerry (L), Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas (R)Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is to pay a visit to Paris on Wednesday to meet US Secretary of State John Kerry.
Kerry, who is currently in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), requested the talks with Abbas, according to Palestinian sources.
Washington-sponsored peace talks between the Zionists and Palestinians resumed last July after a three-year halt. The results of the talks have yet to be announced.
Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat asserted on February 10 that Palestine would not recognize the so-called 'Israel' as a Jewish state, stressing that there is no intention on the Palestinian side to extend the April 29 deadline for wrapping up the negotiations.
Kerry unveiled his economic stimulus plan for the Palestinian territories at the World Economic Forum in Jordanian capital Amman in mid-2013, saying the plan would be key to achieving lasting peace between Palestinians and Israelis.
The scheme seeks to raise the GDP of the Palestinian territories by 50 percent; reduce unemployment to 8 percent from a current 23 percent; and raise personal incomes by 40 percent.

Saudi forces come under attack in Eastern Province

Unidentified armed men have attacked a group of Saudi Arabian security forces in the country's Eastern Province.
The provincial police spokesman said on Sunday that the assailants had opened fire on security forces in the town of Awamiyah of the province, which has been the scene of violent clashes between anti-regime protesters and Saudi forces for three years.
The spokesman said that one member of the security forces had been shot and taken to hospital.
Following the incident, the armed men escaped from the scene, he stated, adding that the police launched an investigation into the issue.
There have been numerous demonstrations in the Eastern Province since February 2011, with protestors calling for political reform.
Activists say there are over 40,000 political prisoners in Saudi Arabia, many of them being held without trial or charges.
In October 2012, Amnesty International called on the Saudi authorities to stop using excessive force against pro-democracy protesters.
"The Saudi authorities must end their repeated moves to stifle people's attempts to protest against the widespread use of arbitrary detention in the country," said Philip Luther, Amnesty International's director for the Middle East and North Africa.
"The right of people to peaceful protest must be respected and the security forces must refrain from detaining or using excessive force against people who exercise it," he added.

US revisiting military options in Syria: Report
The United States is revisiting plans for Syria, including renewed military options, to step up pressure on the Syrian government and its Russian allies amid stalled international negotiations, according to a report.
Growing frustration with the stalled talks in Geneva and Russia's refusal to put pressure on the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has prompted to White House to reconsider "military, diplomatic and intelligence options" which were abandoned in favor of pursuing the talks, the Wall Street Journal reports.
"There is a general sense that it's time to take another look," a senior US official said of the military options, adding that White House could engage in high-level discussion as early as this week.
Senior US officials have already notified their European counterparts of the decision to reevaluate the plans for Syria, the paper said.
Secretary of State John Kerry has been a "leading advocate" of reconsidering the options which range from using long-range missiles to prevent the Syrian government from flying its aircraft and training and equipping the militant forces fighting to topple the government.
Kerry has accused Damascus of stonewalling the Geneva talks thanks in large part to support from Russia.
"Russia needs to be a part of the solution and not be distributing so much more weapons and so much more aid that they're in fact enabling Assad to double-down. Which is creating an enormous problem," he told reporters Monday in the Indonesian capital Jakarta.
Exasperated by stalled talks, the top US diplomat recently sat down with retired Army Gen. and former CIA director David Petraeus to discuss "military and intelligence options" in Syria, the Wall Street Journal said.
"As the president has made clear, we are constantly looking at what options we can take to resolve the crisis in Syria. We are going to continue to work with all of the parties concerned to try to move forward on a diplomatic solution," said White House National Security Council spokesperson Bernadette Meehan.
President Barack Obama brought the US to the brink of an offensive missile campaign against Syria last summer – following reports of a chemical weapons attack that Washington blamed on Damascus.
Military officials say the Pentagon remains prepared to carry out the military options presented to the White House last year.
"We have forces in the region. We have ships in the Med. Everything we need to carry out a military option is there," a senior military official said.
Senator John McCain, one of the key voices in US Congress on Syria debate, has recently called on the Obama administration to use military intervention against the Syrian government.
"The only way to achieve success at Geneva is to change the balance of power on the ground," McCain said in a statement on Saturday, referring to the failure of the so-called Syria peace talks. The second round of negotiations ended on Saturday without any concrete results.
"There are options far short of an Iraq-style invasion that can, and should, be employed to change the calculation of the Syrian regime, stem the violence, and ultimately achieve a negotiated political solution," McCain added.
The US has been funding and supplying arms to the militants fighting to topple the Assad government.

Militants in Rif Dimashq surrender to Syrian army: Photos
Militants in the Rif Dimashq Governorate in the southwestern part of the country have surrendered themselves to government forces to put an end to a painful period during which the armed terrorist groups wreaked havoc in region.
According to Al-Alam correspondent in Syria, gunmen in Babila, Beit Sahim, Yalda and Aqraba towns in Damascus countryside handed over their weapons to army troops after they recognized the terrorists aimed at destroying Syria.
Several families have returned to their homes in the towns after government forces gained full control of region.
The move came after the militants and the government reached a deal, which prepares the ground for return of civilians to their homes.
On February 5, Syria's Committee of National Reconciliation said more than 1,200 Syrian families had returned home in the south of the country following a truce brokered by the committee.
Many hope for similar truce deals aimed at ending the fierce fighting between the Syrian army and Takfiri militants in other parts of the crisis-torn country.
The first step of the deal was the ceasefire, followed by militants' withdrawal from Muadamiyat al-Sham after surrendering their weapons. Later, the Syrian government is to release some detainees.
The development came in the run-up to a new round of talks between representatives of the Syrian government and the so-called Syrian National Coalition (SNC) which will resume in the Swiss city of Geneva on February 10.
The last round of talks, dubbed Geneva II, kicked off in the Swiss town of Montreux on January 22. The Syrian government and foreign-backed opposition as well as dozens of nations participated in the event, which continued in Geneva from January 23 and came to an end on January 31.
The talks are designed to contain the foreign-sponsored violence, which has claimed tens of thousands of lives and displaced million of others in Syria since March 2011.

Pro-Hezbollah song angers Syrian opposition
A song saluting Hezbollah's campaign against foreign-backed militants in the Qalamoun region of Syria has outraged members of the Syrian opposition.
Ali Barakat, a singer of religious anthems, posted the video on YouTube Thursday.
The video has received more than 40,000 views and several other YouTube postings of the song have also appeared, meaning an even higher viewership.
The nearly six-minute-long anthem "Ihsam Nasrak bi Yabroud," addressed to the party and its supporters, can be loosely translated as "Achieve your decisive victory in Yabroud."
The song's lyrics, which salute Hezbollah's role in earlier campaigns against the towns of Nabk and Qusair, and label the Syrian militants as "Takfiri" extremists, enraged opposition supporters.
The video that accompanies the song features a map of the area, with the yellow Hezbollah flag planted in and fluttering over Yabroud.
It also contains shots of the party's fighters conducting mock battles, mixed with actual footage of military operations, presumably from the resistance movement's earlier exploits in Syria.

Saudi Arabia to supply tons of arms to FSA: Report
Saudi Arabia is reportedly to provide more than 3,000 tons of heavy arms to the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA).
The Saudi government has agreed to do so following a decision by the FSA governing body, the Supreme Military Command, to replace the forces' overall commander Selim Idris, the DPA reported on Tuesday.
The kingdom had reportedly suspended its military aid to the Free Syrian Army in November 2013 to protest the way that Idris had distributed arms from Western countries and Persian Gulf Arab states.
"Idris was identified as someone we could not work with and we made the strategic decision to suspend all support to the Free Syrian Army until it changed its leadership," Saudi Arabia's diplomatic liaison to the FSA told DPA.
"Now we can resume arms supplies in full and as fast as possible," said the official, who did not wish to be named as he was not authorized to speak to the press.
In a statement posted online, the FSA said it had fired Idris and named Abdel-Ilah al-Bashir to replace him as the military chief of the Free Syrian Army, AFP reported on Sunday.
The military coalition, which was established in 2011 to operate against the Syrian government, has been weakened by the deep divisions among its members and its failure to make major gains.
Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since March 2011. More than 130,000 people have been killed and millions displaced due to the unrest.

Saudi-Qatari rivalry deepens divisions in Syria opposition
The so-called Free Syrian Army has sacked its leader after he fell out with the Saudi-supported head of the opposition to President Bashar Assad, opposition sources say.
General Salim Idriss, whose relations with Saudi Arabia deteriorated after he opened channels with Qatar, was replaced by Brig. Gen. Abdellah Bashir, the head of FSA operations in Qunaitra province bordering the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, the sources said on Monday.
Bashir assumes leadership of a force trying to regain the initiative from rival and better-organized terrorist groups that have overshadowed it in fighting against the Syrian government.
A statement signed by 22 of the FSA's 30-member Supreme Military Council said the decision was prompted by "the ineffectiveness of the command in the past few months ... and to provide leadership for military operations against" the Syrian government and its allies.
A statement by the so-called Syrian National Coalition, which includes 15 members of the FSA, said news of Bashir's appointment came as a "relief."
Ahmad Jarba, a tribal figure close to Saudi Arabia, became president of the coalition last July after an expansion last year that diluted the influence of Qatari-backed members.
"Idriss appears to have gotten too close to the Qataris, prompting Jarba to move against him," one of the opposition sources said.
Rivalry between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, main backers of the Syrian government, has deepened divisions in the opposition. It has also strengthened President Assad as his government talks with the SNC at US-and Russian-sponsored negotiations in Geneva.
The coalition's delegation added several FSA commanders to its negotiating team in the second round of peace talks, which concluded on the weekend without little result.
The announcement to remove Idriss, who had served in the Corps of Engineers of the Syrian army, was made Sunday after an SMC meeting in Turkey attended by Asaad Mustafa, the self-declared defense minister in a provisional government set up by the opposition last year, the sources said.
Mustafa, whose ties with Idriss have been tense, indicated last week to members of the provisional government he intended to resign. He changed his mind after receiving backing from Jarba, an official in the opposition government said.
Idriss was visiting the United Arab Emirates when he learned of his sacking, the sources said. He still has supporters in the SMC and could try to contest the decision with their help.
Dissident militants have long been wary of accepting Idriss, who has spent most of his time outside Syria since being chosen as a consensus figure to lead the Supreme Military Council set up with Arab and Western backing in December 2012.
But a diplomat based in the Middle East said Bashir was a relative unknown who was unlikely to solve divisions within the FSA. "Idriss' supporters are not going to take his sacking sitting down. The only reason Bashir was appointed is that he is close to Jarba," the diplomat said.
A spokesman for the SMC, which oversees the FSA, said the turning point came when Al-Qaeda-linked militants tried to seize warehouses belonging to the group near the Turkish border in December, leading to the facilities' takeover by militias from the Islamic Front.
The raid prompted a cutoff of Western supplies to the FSA militants, leaving the insurgents without arms and scattering weakened opposition forces.
"We waited three months after the assault and seizure of the [warehouse]," spokesman Col. Qassem Saadeddine told Al-Arabiya TV.
"But the situation only became worse. There began to be divisions in the armed opposition. There was no military leadership. The military leadership was scattered, each leader of a brigade worked alone," he said.
The spokesman said other council members were outraged when Idriss did not publicly blame the rival rebels for the theft. "[The militants] did not return a single weapon, and he [Idriss] did not do a thing. All the officers went to their tents and the warehouses were empty, and nothing remained of the FSA."

"Der Prophet, Allāhs Segen und Friede auf ihm, sagte zu mir: »Wenn du zu Bett gehen willst, so wasche dich in der Weise, wie du dies für das Gebet gewöhnlich tust, lege dich dann hin auf deine rechte Seite und sprich: O Allāh, ich bin Dir mit meinem Angesicht ergeben, und meine Angelegenheit überlasse ich Dir, und meinen Rücken lehne ich an Dich, nur wohlwollend und aus Furcht vor Dir; denn es gibt keine Zuflucht und Rettung vor Dir, außer bei Dir. O Allāh, ich glaube an Dein Buch, das Du offenbart hast, und an Deinen Propheten, den Du entsandt hast. Stirbst du dann in derselben Nacht, so stirbst du auf der natürlichen Grundlage des Glaubens; mache diese Worte aber auch als Letztes, was du sprichst.« Ich habe diese dem Propheten, Allāhs Segen und Friede auf ihm, wieder vorgetragen, und als ich an den Satz O Allāh, ich glaube an Dein Buch, das Du offenbart hast ... kam, sagte ich und Deinen Gesandten ... und der Prophet bemerkte dazu: »Nein, ... und an Deinen Propheten, den Du entsandt hast.«"

1. Al-Muharram
Der Monat Muharram (der verbotene, unerlaubte) gehört zu den vier heiligen Monaten (neben dem Ramadan) und wird aufgrund seiner besonderen Stellung auch als "Monat Allahs" bezeichnet.
In diesem Monat sollte man Allahs, des Allerbarmers, viel Gedenken und Gutes tun.
01. Muharram: Islamisches Neujahr
10. Muharram: 'Ashourah (freiwilliges Fasten)
Anmerkung:
Am 10. Muharram hat Allah, der Allmächtige, den Prophet Mousa (Moses), Allahs Friede sei mit ihm, und sein Volk (Kinder Israels) vor dem Pharao gerettet.
Daher fastete Mousa, Allahs Friede sei mit ihm, an diesem Tag aus Dankbarkeit gegenüber Allah, dem Allerhabenen.
Aus diesem Grund fasten Muslime an diesem Tag ebenfalls, jedoch mit einem zusätzlichen Tag undzwar den 9. Muharram (Tasou'a), um sich von den Juden, die diesen Tag ebenfalls fasten, zu unterscheiden.
Hierzu folgende Ahadith (Überlieferungen):
Ibn 'Abbas, Allahs Wohlgefallen auf beiden, berichtete:
"Als der Gesandte Allahs, Allahs Segen und Heil auf ihm, nach Madina kam, sah er, dass die Juden am Tag von 'Ashourah fasteten.
Sie wurden darüber gefragt.
Sie erwiderten:
"Es ist der Tag, an dem Allah Moses und die Kinder Israel vor Pharao errettete!
So fasten wir an diesem Tag, um Ihn (Allah) zu verherrlichen."
Der Prophet, Allahs Segen und Heil auf ihm, sagte:
"Wir haben ein größeres Anrecht auf Moses als ihr!"
Darauf hielt er (die Muslime) an diesem Tag zu fasten an."
[Sahih Muslim]
'Abdullah Ibn Abbas – Allahs Wohlgefallen auf ihm – berichtet:
"Als Allahs Gesandter – möge Allah ihn loben und Heil schenken – den Tag 'Ashourah fastete und (den Muslimen) auftrug, an ihm zu fasten, sagten sie:
"O Gesandter Allahs, dies ist ein Tag, den die Juden und die Christen ehren."
Darauf sagte Allahs Gesandter – möge Allah ihn loben und Heil schenken:
"Falls wir das kommende Jahr, wenn Allah will, noch erleben sollten, fasten wir den neunten Tag (dazu)."
Und bevor dann das nächste Jahr kam, verstarb Allahs Gesandter – möge Allah ihn loben und Heil schenken."
