Story from #Rabaa, Egypt:
A week ago my car broke down while I was in #Rabaa. When I asked for a mechanic nearby, I was told there was a mechanic in the sit-in and was taken to his tent. Everyone in the sit-in called him "Mohammed the electrician". If any car broke down they would call him up.
For a second I assumed he was in the sit-in just to make some money out of people like me, but then he refused to make me pay for the repairs he did to my car. So I asked him: "Seems like you've been in the sit-in for a while, how do you take care of your household and family then?"
He responded back by saying: "I've been working over the past 20 years for this day. I've made good money, built a house for my family, took care of my daughters until they got married. It's only me and my wife now, and she has the house to sell and take care of herself"
Surprised by his response, I asked: "Are you not going back to them?"
"Pray for me to die here. I've asked Allah to make my death here, if it would count as martyrdom"
We exchanged numbers and parted ways. He called me every day since, to check upon me until last night when he told me" You go home, you've got little ones waiting for you. I have a feeling tonight will be the last night"
Once I heard about the massacre, I called him. He didn't pick up for 3 consecutive times, and so I felt he had passed away as he had been praying.
I sent him a text: "I know you're not going to respond Mohamed, and I truly hope you've found you were doing the right thing".
I received a response back: "He believed in Allah and passed away on that manner, this is Dr. Tariq from the field hospital, please contact his family to come attend the prayers before his burial"

Eure Spenden retten Leben ! (27.07.2013): Wieder konnten etliche 1000 Familienpakete verteilt werden in Somalia, an diejenigen die akut vom Hungertod bedroht sind. Weiterhin sterben in Somalia viele unserer Brüder & Schwestern täglich einen qualvollen Hungertod. Bisher konnten durch eure Spenden, Allah's erlaubnis, von uns ca. 1.029 Familien also ca. 5147 Geschwister für eine Woche Grundversorgt werden. Von Zaid ibn Châlid Al-Dschuhanî wurde berichtet, dass der Prophet sagte: „Wer einen Fastenden speist, bekommt die gleiche Belohnung wie dieser, ohne dass die Belohnung des Fastenden geschmälert wird."Überliefert von At-Tirmidhî und von diesem als gut eingestuft.
