Der Prophet savs berichtet, dass Allah sagt:„Jede Handlung des Sohnes von Adam gehört ihm selbst, außer dem Fasten.
Es ist Mein, und Ich werde ihn dafür entlohnen.
Das Fasten ist ein Schutz.
Wenn einer von euch fastet, soll er weder obszön noch zu laut sprechen, und wenn ihn jemand beleidigt oder herausfordert, dann soll er sagen: 'Ich faste.'.
Bei Dem, in Dessen Hand die Seele von Muhammad ist, der Atem desjenigen, der fastet, ist bei Allah genehmer als der Duft von Moschus.
Der Fastende hat zwei Freuden:
Wenn er sein Fasten bricht, erholt er sich, und wenn er seinem Herren gegenübersteht, hat er Freude an seinem Fasten." Muslim

This is the testimony of a brother who was just freed from Abu Ghraib prison, translated by Ahmad Abu Al Nasr.
It was forwarded by Sister Nusaybah bint al Ka'ab - a nurse and Mujahidah, a revert from the USA, currently residing in Syria.
"Our brothers in Tawhid in Abu Gharib prison, they were forcing us to drink the guards' urine. They were forcing us to kiss the guards' shoes, so don't blame us when we tear them apart.
O Muslims, Wallahi we used to hear the men screaming from being tortured and their nails being removed and their fingers being broken, including my fingers & toe-nails which were also removed.
Wallahi the man who tortured me and the one who removed my nails cursed the Sahaba (RA), my mother, sister, daughter and wife.
Wallahi in the hot summer in Iraq they were forcing us to sit on metal chairs in the sun chained and the guard urinated on us and forced us to drink his urine.
Wallahi the prison guard used to pluck the beard and mustache of the prisoners and they were forcing us to drink boiled water in the summer.
Wallahi in the last Ramadan the prison guard used to put us above each other chained and threaten us and tell us, anyone that will drink water will get back to his cell.
When Nemr el Nemr were arrested, the prison guards beated us for hours, Wallahi we were tortured because of him and I didn't hear about him before.
The prison guard used to beat us for any reason; when the FSA (free syrain army) defeated Bashar's army he beat us, if someone died in Bahrain he beat us.
When the FSA heroes killed the staff of Bashar in Syria, we couldn't sleep and the prison guards beated us while they were screaming from anger.
When the Iraq soccer team won, the prison guard asked us: are you happy?
If we said yes they tortured us and if we said no they tortured us... and if the soccer team lost they tortured us regardless.
In Abu Ghraib prison we were treated as lab rats, we were injected with unknown medicines all the time and they used to take our blood.
The biggest challenge faced us while we were praying, Wallahi during the prayer time they used to make the radio so loud and play their songs."
Our brother Abu Bakr were arrested because he was a writer and his articles put him in jail for 4 years, the last 2 years were the hardest ever for him.

By Allah, such an account is absolutely shocking & incites much grief & anger.
May Allah give all those involved in perpetrating such injustices & upholding the frameworks within which they operate what they deserve.
In the 1960′s, the prison was built in Abu Ghraib, an Iraqi city west of Baghdad, and during the regime of Saddam Hussein it became a center of torture and abuse where political dissidents were subjected to agonizing punishment or death.
Following the United States invasion of Iraq in 2003, the prison was taken over by American military authorities, and was used as a holding facility for prisoners of war and suspected terrorists captured by U.S. forces.
The prison's reputation as a site of widespread abuse rose again when journalists discovered photographs of Iraqi prisoners being tortured and humiliated in an ugly variety of ways by American soldiers, a scandal which had a major impact on international thinking about the war.
In 2010 Wikileaks exposed nearly 400,000 secret United States army field reports and war logs, detailing torture, summary executions and war crimes. Among others, the logs detail how US authorities failed to investigate hundreds of reports of abuse, torture, rape, and even murder by Iraqi police and soldiers, whose conduct appears to be systematic and normally unpunished, and that US troops abused prisoners for years even after the Abu Ghraib scandal.
After the details of torture were exposed and well-known the US has handed over control to the Iraqi government and it is now renamed Baghdad Central Prison.
Compare this to Islam & its treatment of prisoners: torture in any of its forms is absolutely forbidden in Islam, but rather prisoners are treated respectably.
May Allah (swt) pour Sabr and steadfastness on all our brothers and sisters who are languishing in prisons across the world, and grant them release soon, just as He has allowed the recent prisoners to be released from this terrible place.
