Why do people get uncomfortable as soon as they hear the term Islamic State or Khilafah? Do they fear being beheaded? Tortured? Killed? I'm not surprised, I too used to feel a shiver down my spine when I heard the term Khilafah. So I looked into it and realised what a sheep I'd been in believing the propaganda the media fed me regarding the Khilafah. Khilafah also known as the Islamic State is defined by a governance of which rules according to God's law which was first established by Muhammad the final messenger of God, (peace be upon him) over 1400 years ago. It lasted until 1924 whereby it was demolished by the West. Since then there has been a demand for the re establishment of the Islamic State. Why? Because it was and IS the one true solution to all the problems faced by humankind today. Yes ALL the problems. Here are a few misconceptions regarding the Islamic state: 1. ISIS/ ISIL/ Al Qaeda represent the Islamic State. No. ISIS/ ISIL/ Al Qaeda are truly far from representing anything Islamic. All we've seen them do is kill and oppress. These are not the teachings of Islam. Over 1/5 of the worlds population are Muslim and if our religion taught us to kill all disbelievers 4/5 of the worlds population would cease to exist. No true Muslim supports the actions the above terrorist groups have carried out. I question the validity of these groups. Strange that the Western Government and Politicians have been able to fully infiltrate Iraq and Afghanistan but when it comes to ISIS ISIL and Al Qaeda they're nowhere to be found. 2. Islamic State is there to eradicate all those that are not Muslim. No. The above terrorist organisations have been eradicating those that do not follow their beliefs. This is not something our religion tolerates. Islamic State would allow Christians and Jews to live under the Islamic State peacefully and happily. In fact back when the Islamic State was up and running all Christians and Jews were given their full rights under the Islamic system and all lived together in harmony. Jews and Christians WANTED to live under the Islamic State because of the living standards that were provided to the people. 3. Islamic State is currently established in Saudi where Sharia law is chopping hands off and not allowing women to drive. No. Currently there is no valid Islamic State established anywhere in the world. Not even in Saudi. If Islamic state was running in Saudi, women would be given equal rights, there would be no poverty and all culture aspects would be eradicated. Unfortunately in Saudi there are many problems the people are facing which are not being addressed fairly. Back when the true Islamic State was running it was extremely difficult to chop someone's hand off. If someone stole food to feed their child because they were poor, they would be given an income and support from the leader (Caliphate), not have their hand chopped off. The 'chopping the hand off' law is rather there to deter people from stealing. 4. Islamic State is there to oppress women. No. Islam gives more rights to women than men. It's there to protect women. Under Islam it was a Muslim woman who opened up the first University in the world so women were allowed education over centuries years ago whereas here in the West women have only been given the right to education within the last few decades. It was under the Islamic State where the child allowance was created for single mothers who couldn't afford to buy the necessities for their children. Look how it's incorporated today in the Western world in terms of benefits. It's women who have rights to their husbands earnings whereas husbands don't have any right over his wife's earnings! And they say Islam is unfair to women. Pfft. 5. It's going to cause more problems. No. An Islamic State led by a truly devout Muslim would be there to solve ALL problems. It would eradicate poverty whereby the money generated from a countries commodities such as oil and pastures would be put back into the economy for schools and hospitals and other aspects that would aid the population under the Islamic State. The Islamic State would provide true justice. If a member of your family is unlawfully killed by man. Then that man would be punished by either being executed, given a huge fine to pay the family of the deceased or even be forgiven and it's the victims family who would be given the right to decide! Can't get fairer than that. 6. It's going to come to Britain and US first. Again no. Nobody working for the true Islamic State desires for the Islamic State to start in the West. Islamic State can only be established where it's wanted by the majority of the population which is another teaching of Islam. How can it be wanted here in Britain where Muslims only make up around 4% of the population. There are people demanding for the Islamic State to be established in Muslim countries whereby currently the systems are causing havoc and displeasing the people. Unfortunately the West have such a hold on the current puppet leaders of the Eastern countries that anything will be done to stop the re establishment of the Khilafah. These were just some of the misconceptions regarding the Islamic State. If you have more go and read and educate yourselves. Open up the Quran and see for yourselves how Islam is a peaceful and just religion. Don't believe everything you see on the news. In fact don't believe anything you see in today's news. It's there to brainwash you into seeing a world they WANT you to see. The Islamic State by Taqi al-Din Nabhani - book on Islamic State May we all live to see the re-establishment of the Khilafah.
