Wir befinden uns in einem gesegneten Monat, der einer der vier heiligen Monate ist - Muharram. Jener Monat, über den der Prophet ﷺ sagte: "Das beste Fasten nach dem Ramadan ist das Fasten während Allahs Monat, Muharram." [أفضل الصيام بعد رمضان شهر الله المحرم] Es ist empfohlen in diesem Monat viel zu fasten, da das Fasten zu den besten Taten gehört, womit man sich Allah nähert. Wer nicht in der Lage ist, viel von diesem Monat zu fasten, der sollte den zehnten Tag nicht an sich vorbeiziehen lassen, ohne gefastet zu haben. Der Prophet ﷺ sagte über diesen Tag, als er ﷺ darüber befragt worden ist: "Er tilgt das vergangene Jahr." [يكفر السنة الماضية] Aufgrund der großen Belohnung, die einem zusteht, sollte man diesen Tag, welcher Donnerstag, 3 November 2014 ist, nicht an sich vorbeiziehen lassen. Des Weiteren ist es sehr wünschenswert, den neunten Tag ebenfalls zu fasten, da der Prophet ﷺ sagte: "Wenn ich das nächste Jahr am Leben bin, werde ich den neunten fasten."
