Einst begegnete er einen Juden, welcher gekleidet war mit alter und gerissener Kleidung. Der Jude hielt Imām ibn Ḥaǧar al-ʿAsqalānī an und fragte: „Siehst du nicht, in welcher Lage ich bin und ich es mit deiner zu genießenden reichhaltigen Gabe vergleiche, obwohl ich ein Ungläubiger bin und du ein Gläubiger bist? Wie kannst du die Aussage deines Propheten erklären, welche lautet: „Das Leben auf dieser Erde gleicht einem Gefängnis für den Gläubigen und einem Garten für den Ungläubigen"?" Imām ibn Ḥaǧar al-ʿAsqalānī antwortete: „Obwohl du ein erbärmliches Leben auf dieser Erde hast, wirst du es im Vergleich dazu, was du im Jenseits erleiden wirst, als ein Paradies betrachten, wenn du als Ungläubiger sterben solltest. Für mich wird all diese von mir im Besitz habende reichliche Gabe, wenn Allāh – Gelobpreist und erhaben ist Er – mich mit dem Paradies belohnen sollte, im Vergleich zu dem Paradies, einem Gefängnis gleichen lassen. Als er fertig war, bemerkte er eine Gruppe von Propheten, die auch ihr Gebet verrichteten. Unter ihnen waren Musa, Isa und Abraham (ALLAHs Frieden mit ihnen allen). Der Prophet (ALLAHs Frieden und Segen über ihn) sollte sie in ihrem Gebet führen. Der Islam ist die Religion aller Propheten keiner von ihnen hatte je eine andere Religion verkündet. Als der Prophet Muhammad fertig war, sagte man zu ihm: „Dies ist Engel Malik, der Wächter des Höllenfeuers, so sage ihm Salam." Als er sich umdrehte, um ihn zu grüßen, kam der Engel ihm zuvor. Engel Gabriel brachte zwei Gefäße und gab sie dem Propheten (ALLAHs Frieden und Segen über ihn). Eines war mit Wein gefüllt, und das andere mit Milch. Der Prophet (ALLAHs Frieden und Segen über ihn) nahm das Gefäß mit der Milch und trank davon. Engel Gabriel sagte: „Du wurdest durch deine Fitrah geleitet." Abu Huraira, ALLAHs Frieden und Segen über ihn, berichtete: Der Gesandte Allahs, Allahs Segen und Heil auf ihm, sagte: " Mir wurden dann zwei Gefäße gebracht. In dem einen gab es Milch und in dem anderen Wein. Mir wurde gesagt: Nimm, was du willst! Ich nahm die Milch und trank sie. Da sagte er (Gabriel): Alles Lob gebührt Allah, daß Er dich zu der natürlichen Veranlagung (arab.: Fitra) rechtgeleitet hat. Hättest Du den Alkohol genommen, so wäre deine Umma (Gemeinschaft) irregegangen!"''
