All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger. This morning was indeed a pleasure being with the 'Discover Islam TnT team' in the heart of San Juan, sharing the message of Islam, which we are all called to do as Muslims. The brothers and I had a wonderful time indeed giving Dawah. The turn out was great and we even had some of our younger brothers from the nearby mosque spending some time with us as well. These vibrant youngsters were passionate and enthusiastic as they walked around with us spreading the message. We met with a large number pedestrians, exchanged ideas and shared hundreds of literature. In giving Dawah to the last person for the morning, the icing was put on the cake. The brother's name was Gordon and he had some misconception about Islam after all the negative propaganda on the media, but he had an open mind and wanted to learn what Islam was truly about. After speaking to him for about 15 minutes, he was convinced without a doubt that Islam is indeed the truth and the way. Alhamdulillah he took Shahadah with tears in his eyes. Allahu Akbar! Some of the youngsters witnessed the brother take Shahadah, and this motivated them even more to continue giving Dawah in the path of Allah as they grow older Inshallah. Indeed there was no other place I'd rather be this morning than among my brothers sharing the message of Islam. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him shared the message of Islam being under the worst conditions and having countless adversities, so who are we that we cannot share the message of our Lord? Looking forward to continue working with my brothers as we share this deen of Allah Inshallah. May Allah continue to guide us in His path. May He Bless us in this world and grant us Jannah in the afterlife.
