Syria Christian leaders: Stop supporting militants
Syria's top Christian leaders have called on the US to stop supporting Syria militants as conditions continue to worsen for the religious minority in the crisis-hit Arab country.
Leaders of five Christian denominations have called on the US government to change its policies and stop calling the militants "freedom fighters." They are also urging Washington to put pressure on countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey to stop sending foreign militants into Syria.
The group comprises of Reverend Adeeb Awad, vice moderator of the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon, Bishop Elias Toumeh, representative of the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, and Bishop Armash Nalbandian, Primate of the Armenian Church of Damascus.
They are joined by Reverend Riad Jarjour, Presbyterian pastor from Homs, and Bishop Dionysius Jean Kawak, Metropolitan of the Syrian Orthodox Church.
It is the first delegation of its kind to visit Washington since the Syria crisis began three years ago, and its five members represent key different Christian communities in the country.
Stories by the five top leaders in the American Time magazine highlight the horrors that Christians are facing in Syria amid the worsening situation in the Middle Eastern country.
The bishops' accounts are similar to other stories of violence against Syrian Christians during the conflict which has claimed at least 130,000 lives over the past three years.
Syria is home to some 1.8 million Christians, who account for about 10 percent of the country's population. The religious minority has been subjected to numerous attacks by extremist groups since the outbreak of violence in the country in March 2011.

More US Marines could be based in Africa
Thousands of US Marines could be based in Africa in coming years as part of America's so-called global realignment, according to a top army general in the region.
Lieutenant General Steven Hummer, deputy to the commander for military operations in US Africa Command, said the Marine units would likely be similar to those based at Morón Air Base in Spain, which stood up in 2013.
"There's quite a reach from Morón to get to [certain African countries], depending on the operational aircraft," Hummer told Marine Corps Times. "As we look at the future of the environment around the world, and the fiscal challenges impeding the number of ships we would like to have, there's a balancing act we have to achieve between MAGTFs aboard ships and MAGTFs ashore, where they can respond to indications and warnings."
The units would not only be a crisis response force but also be able to train troops.
"A crisis response force, that could be their primary mission," Hummer said. "But they could also be doing theater security cooperation training with militaries on the continent. They could participate in exercises, all the while — as we craft these — continuing to develop their skills and readiness toward crisis response."
US Africa Command stood up five years ago. At the time, African leaders expressed concern about the potential militarization of the continent, which critics believe is now happening.
The US military is likely to expand its presence in the Horn of Africa and in the Middle East, according to Hummer said.

KSA suffering rampant corruption: Saudi Prince
A Saudi prince says his country is suffering from rampant and crouching corruption in state organizations, the scope of which is gradually being revealed to the public.
In a letter to the head of Saudi Arabia's anti-corruption organization, Prince al-Waleed bin Talal Al Saud has demanded that it stand against the financial corruption in the kingdom and reveal the names of the corrupt officials.
Meanwhile, local media said the multi-billion-dollar project of Saudi Arabia's first locally-built car, an all-terrain vehicle called "Ghazal 1" does not really exist.
Prince Bin Talal's warning comes as Saudi Arabia approved in 2011 the creation of the anti-corruption commission in order to promote transparency and fight against financial and administrative corruption.
In August 2013, exiled Saudi prince Khalid Bin Farhan Al Saud criticized the suppression of dissident voices and rampant corruption in the Middle East powerhouse.
He questioned Saudi Arabia's stepped-up crackdown on anti-regime protests while supporting the militancy in Syria.
The Saudi prince also criticized the United States for ignoring corruption in Saudi Arabia due to long-term interests.
Saudi Arabia is the world's largest oil exporter, with the black gold accounting for 90 percent of the country's exports.
However, corruption is so ingrained in Saud Arabia's royal family that despite the country's enormous oil money, it struggles with problems such as poverty and unemployment.
Job growth and welfare programs in Saudi Arabia have failed to keep pace with a booming population that hiked from 6 million in 1970 to 28 million in 2012.

Dieses "Ya aber..." was man bei den Herrschern benutzt und sie verteidigt: "Ya aber, seine Absicht ist doch gut/ du weißt nicht was er im Herzen hat." Wird einigen Muslimen gewaltiges kosten.
Bedenkt der Islam macht keine Kompromisse, die Wahrheit kann man nicht mit der Falschheit mischen.

DIE ZWEI BRÜDER
Es waren einst zwei Bruder, beide Msulime. Einer von beiden verstarb plötzlich worauf der andere diesem des Nachts in seinem Traum begegnete.
Ganz aufgeregt fragte er ihn: "Oh mein Bruder, was kannst du mir sagen? Wo bist du? Wie ist es?"
Sein Bruder antwortete ihm: "Oh mein Lieber Bruder, ich bereue nichts, alles was ich tat war richtig, Alhamdulillah. Ich bin froh das ich als Muslim starb und dennoch gibt es eine Sache die ich gerne ändern würde... würde Allah mich nur für eine einzige Sekunde zurück kehren lassen ich wäre glücklicher als ich es je in meinem Leben sein könnte...!"
Der Bruder fragte überrascht: "Was ist diese Sache die du in einer Sekunde machen willst?"
Er wiederum sagte: "Ich würde für eine Sekunde zurück kehren nur um ein einziges mal SUBHAN ALLAH zu sagen!"
Der Bruder umso mehr überrascht: "Aber wieso das? Warum willst du ausgerechnet eine Sekunde zurück kehren nur um ein einziges mal SUBHAN ALLAH zu sagen?"
Sein Bruder darauf: "Denn nun weiß ich um den Lohn...!"
ALLAHU AKBAR!

Wie man es schafft, dass die Kinder ohne Streit und ständige Erinnerung das Gebet verrichten...
Hier die Geschichte einer Schwester (aus dem Englischen übersetzt)
Meine Tochter war 12 Jahre alt und das Gebet war wie eine große Last für sie. So sagte ich ihr eines Tages, dass sie beten gehen soll und ich wollte sie dabei beobachten. Sie nahm ihren Gebetsteppich und warf ihn auf den Boden. ICh fragte sie ob sie gebetet habe und sie bejahte - glaubt mir, ohne jegliche Gefühle gab ich ihr eine Ohrfeige - ich weiss das war ein Fehler. Aber das ganze hatte mich verärgert und ich weinte und bat Allah, azza wajal, um Vergebung...die Ohrfeige, das Gespräch, die ständigen Ermahnungen änderten nichts an ihrer Einstellung zum Gebet.
Eines Tages erzählte mit eine Freundin eine Geschichte. Sie erzählte von einer Freundin die sie mal besucht hatte, die Freundin war nicht gerade besonders religiös, aber immer wenn der Adhan gerufen wurde, eilten ihre Kinder vollkommen selbständig, ohne Streit und ohne Ermahnungen, zum Gebet. Sie fragte sie, wie es sein kann, dass ihre Kinder freiwiliig zum Gebet eilen, ohne daran erinnert werden zu müssen. Sie sagte, dass sie, bevor sie geheiratet hatte und heute immer noch ein bestimmtes Bittgebet spricht.
Nachdem sie mir gesagt hatte um welches Bittgebet es sich handelte, fing auch ich an es täglich in meinen Gebeten und auch sonst, zu sprechen. Seitdem ich dieses Bittgebet spreche ist meine Tochter die erste die sich zum Gebet stellt - ganz ohne Streit und Ermahnung, wie früher einst. Sie wacht sogar zum Fajr-Gebet auf, ohne dafür den Wecker zu stellen. Und auch ihre jüngeren Brüder beten eifrig mit, ohne Probleme.
Ich weiss dass ihr jetzt unbedingt wissen möchtet um welches Bittgebet es sich handelt... ihr findet es in der Surah Ibrahim, Ayat 40...
( رَبِّ ٱجۡعَلۡنِى مُقِيمَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِىۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلۡ دُعَآءِ (٤٠
"Rabbi-Ajal'ni muqeema salaati, wa min Dhurriyyati, rabbana wataqabbal duaa."
"Mein Herr, mach, daß ich das Gebet verrichte, (ich) und (auch einige) aus meiner Nachkommenschaft. Unser Herr, und nimm mein Gebet an."
AMIN!
Fang heute schon damit an und warte nicht bis du verheiratet bist oder erst Kinder kriegst, denn Vorsorge ist besser als heilen.
Verbreite dieses Wissen, so dass es Sadaqa al Jaria für dich und für mich sein wird, biidhnAllah.
Abu Mas'ud Uqba ibn Amru al-Ansari al-Badri (r) sagte: Der Gesandte Allahs (s) sagte: "Derjenige, der veranlasst, Gutes zu tun, bekommt die gleiche Belohnung wie der Wohltäter." (Muslim)
