I was deeply deeply distraught after watching this report. Yes , I know its not new, I know this happens everywhere in the world and is not unique to India. We hear and see Countless stories on the news about sexual exploitation of women, young girls and children. But The thing that hit me the most was the thinking behind the perpetrators. Holding an individual captive and beating them into submission, destroying their inner humanity, Innalilla! what kind of mind allows him/herself to treat another in this manner... Muhammad (saw) brought change to Arabiya 1400 years ago, to a people who were perceived as barbaric and inhumane. The people of Qureysh were customised to having an endless number of wives, exploiting women for their sexual pleasures, they were objects that belonged to the men, controlled and abused with no honor or security given. It was no better in the rest of the world. The west viewed the woman as a curse, the devils advisory, leading man astray as she Eve (Hawwa) deceived the prophet Adam (as) urging him to eat the forbidden fruit which angered Allahswt removing mankind from heaven. So all in all when we look to history we learn that the female species has had it tough being blamed for all of life's ills. It was Islam that changed the position of woman. This change came through revelation of Quran, where Allahswt guided mankind to elevate and honor the woman, SubhanAllah. They are a vestment for you (man) and you are a vestment for them, (Qur'an, 2:187). Allah Ta'aalaa states in the Qur'an: "And they (women) have rights similar to those (of men) over them in kindness. " (2: 228) "For Muslim men and woman, for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's remembrance. For them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward."(surah Ahzaab : 35) These ayats encourage the believers to protect and honor one another, not to abuse. The third ayat from surat Ahzab demonstrates how Allahswt addresses both man and women showing that they are both seen equally as servants to Allahswt and Allah makes it clear that He swt does not favor one over the other. 1400 years on and we sadly witness the world resorting back to its prehistoric mentality and abuse of women. We are exposed to the global dehumanification of women, systematic abuse and debilitating attitudes of the dark ages plaguing the minds of the modern world. It is He who bestows from on high clear messages unto [this] His servant, to lead you out of the deep darkness into the light: for, behold, God is most compassionate towards you, a dispenser of grace. - Al - Hadid 9 Trafficked girls kept in cages in Mumbai Girls as young as seven - forced into prostitution: some locked in tiny cages for months on end to stop them running away. This is the awful reality in Mumbai - one of Asia's biggest red light districts. Selam aleykum, ich wollte euch etwas Neues berichten von meinem Projekt. Uns ist da etwas passiert... Wir waren auf dem Weg nach Hause von der Moschee. Und dann haben wir einen Mann auf der Straße gesehen, der hat sich hin gehockt wie der Glöckner von Notre Damme. Neben einer großen Mülltonne und hat dort zusammen mit Katzen um ihn herum von einem kleinen Essen Haufen gegessen... Der man hat geschrien weil er sauer war das das essen wohl verdorben ist, ist dann immer zur Mülltonne gewechselt und hat rein geschaut und rein gerufen und sich aufgeregt das es nichts gibt zu essen. Allahu Akbar! Oh mann das hat mich richtig traurig gemacht. Wir mussten fast weinen. Wie kann das sein? Überall schminken sich die Leute und kaufen sich Döner und Hähnchen und mitten auf der Straße ist ein Mann der verhungert? Wir haben dem Mann etwas Geld gegeben und er ist auf einmal so schnell gelaufen wie er konnte. Ich glaube der wollte zum Laden was kaufen, der war kurz vor verhungern vielleicht. Jetzt bin ich voll traurig. Weil egal wie viele Brote ich verteile, es wird immer Leute geben wie dieser Mann. Wenn nicht in meiner Stadt dann woanders auf der Welt... Khalil sagt in Afrika ist es noch schlimmer und er ist auch immer traurig. Können nicht alle eine Brote Aktion machen? Jeder in seiner Stadt? Wer nicht kann soll wenigstens für Afrikabrunnen spenden, damit wir den Menschen helfen können. EUER UMAR PS: VON KHALIL: Mashallah liebe Geschwister, ich möchte euch sagen das Umar sehr diszipliniert ist, er hat bis 18 Uhr Schule, kommt in der MIttagspause nach Hause und schmiert Brote die er abends verteilt. Er macht seine Buchführung und sammelt alle Belege. Einmal war er einen Tag nicht da und hat sich Sorgen gemacht wer die Brote verteilen soll. Er hat nach einer Vertretung gesucht. Als er keine gefunden hat, hat er nächsten Tag doppelt so viele Brote verteilt. Er prüft immer seine Bestände und kauft im Voraus ein... Mashallah! Er nimmt dieses Projekt sehr ernst. Das sollten wir alle tun. Nicht nur hier sondern überall auf der Welt. Mit deiner Spende regen wir zum Guten an, und helfen der Welt besser zu werden. Egal wie viel, aber spende in unseren Fonds damit die Hilfe weiter geht. Leider haben wir den Mann nicht richtig fotografieren können, waren nicht schnell genug, er hatte sich geschämt und ist weg gelaufen.
