    Everyone struggles in this life..
    Many struggle solely for wordly gain. Yet their struggle and efforts are in vain.

    We are so fortunate to know that our struggles hold a mighty reward.
    That all that we endure for the sake of Allãh, brings us closer to our Lord.

    The struggles vary amongst our Ummah. It could be the struggle of getting up for Fajr, the struggle one faces when he tries to earn a halal living, the struggle one faces when trying to be patient when others cause them difficulty, the struggle one faces when wearing the hijab/niqab, or the struggle one faces when a company rejects him because of his beard, the struggle one faces when trying to avoid going out with friends who are free mixing, the struggle one faces when avoiding a haram relationship during such times of fitna, the struggle one faces when losing a loved one, the struggle one faces when trying to balance dunya and akhirah.

    All of these struggles are worthwhile knowing that Allãh holds a reward instore for us.

    Think before you speak or act. Will the outcome benefit anyone? Or will it harm someone? Is it worth it?

    Our book of deeds will return to Allãh.
    The book of good deeds will return to the seventh heaven alongside the soul of a good believing Muslim.

    Whereas the book of evil deeds will return beneath the seven earths alongside the wretched souls.

    We want to achieve the pleasure of Allãh. We want to be close to Him, to be beloved to Him.

    حسنات الابرار سيأت المقربين
    The good deeds of the pious are the sins of the close ones (to Allãh.)

    This couplet maybe confusing but what it means is that the deeds or righteous people are insignificant when carried about by those who are closest to Allãh. The closes one is to Allãh, the more is expected of him

    So for instance Umar RA was Ameerul Mu'mineen yet he dressed in the most humble manner. Why? Because of his status in the sight of Allãh, he didn't feel that it was befitting for him to don the luxurious clothing of those who weren't as close to Allãh. This is all based on one's closeness to Allãh. The more closeryou are to Allãh, the more major a minor sin will look to you.
    For a normal person a minor sin will be 'minor' but for someone who is close to Allãh a minor sin will be seen as 'major' because of the greatness of the One who is being disobeyed.

    SubhanAllãh. May Allãh make us amongst those who are close to Him and may we receive our books in our right hands and be of those who desire that others read them. May He make us from amongst the inhabitants of Jannah. Aameen.
