Ja, es gibt sogar viele Mütter die "Bilderbuch-Babys" haben, die gestresste Mütter mit vielen Kindern oder Schreibabys scheif angucken wenn sie ihre Sorgen teilen wollen. Optisch scheint es meistens so, dass wir alle Super-Mütter sind, besonders die mit mehreren Kindern. Ich erinnere mich, als ich vor meiner Heirat sagte "wenn ich mal heirate möchte ich 5 Kinder, und zwar hintereinander damit alle schön gleichzeitig aufwachsen" das ist genau das gleiche als wenn ein Kind sagt "wenn ich mal groß bin möchte ich einen großen Garten mit Zuckerwattenbäumen haben und naschen wann ich möchte". Es ist eine Traumvorstelltung, und die Realität sieht ganz anders aus, es ist nicht so leicht wie man denkt… „Wie geht's dir?" Diese Frage geht mir total auf die Nerven. Was soll ich antworten? Die Ein-Wort-Antworten der Kategorie „toll", „gut", „wunderbar" entsprechen nicht der Wahrheit, aber ich glaube, dass diejenigen, die fragen, einfach nicht mehr hören wollen als eine höfliche Antwort. Will irgendwer die Wahrheit hören? (Ob ja oder nein – hier kommt sie…) Die Wahrheit ist: Ich bin erschöpft, frustriert – und häufig einsam inmitten von drei Kindern, zwei Hunden, einem Ehemann, und unserem neuen Goldfisch. Natürlich gibt es Momente purer Freude und Glückseligkeit und voller Gelächter. Aber die Phasen dazwischen sind hart. Ich frage mich, ob das immer so sein wird. Ich glaube jedenfalls nicht, dass es jemals einfacher wird. Ich denke, ich werde mich irgendwie weiterentwickeln …. oder auch nicht. Dauernd fragt mich irgendjemand staunend: „Wie machst du das alles nur?" Die Antwort ist: Ich mache das alles gar nicht gut. Ich stolpere jeden Tag, mehrfach sogar, und wenig glorreich muss ich noch hinzufügen: - Ich trage tagelang die gleichen Klamotten. - Ich dusche zwei Mal die Woche, wenn's hochkommt. - Die Wäsche ist niemals gefaltet. - Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, wann ich das letzte Mal ein Buch gelesen habe. - Ich esse schlecht, und wenn ich zwei oder drei Mal die Woche koche, ist das schon gut. - Ich habe von meinen Schwangerschaften immer noch Übergewicht und bekomme es nicht los. - Ich ergraue schnell, und mache mir Sorgen, wie ich für meine Kinder jung bleiben soll. - Ich bin müde. Immer müde. - Mein Mann muss meine Launen ertragen, und ich bin nicht stolz drauf. - Die Arbeit macht mich ungewöhnlich gereizt. - Und das Schlimmste: Ich habe die Geduld mit meinem Sohn verloren. Ich habe scheinbar nie für etwas Zeit. Und wenn sich plötzlich ein Gelegenheitsfenster öffnet, fühle ich mich wie gelähmt. Ich bin unfähig, die Dinge auf die Reihe zu kriegen – aus Erschöpfung, und weil ich nicht weiß, was ich zuerst machen soll. Und gerade, wenn ich mich wieder einigermaßen aufraffen kann, fängt ein Baby an zu schreien und braucht mich. Ich bringe endlose Stunden damit zu, herumzusitzen und den Kindern dabei zuzusehen, wie sie krappeln, greifen, sich hinsetzen und Dinge erkunden. Klar, das macht Spaß. Aber stundenlang? Es zermürbt. Und trotzdem kann ich meine Augen nicht abwenden, denn sobald ich das tue, bleibt einer von ihnen unter dem Sofa hängen oder nimmt den anderen in den Würgegriff. Ich kann nicht arbeiten, weil meine Augen und Ohren an meinen Kindern hängen. Und Telefonieren? Vergessen Sie's. Sie verlangen instinktiv nach Essen, Aufmerksamkeit, Umarmungen oder frischen Windeln, sobald ich mit jemand anderem als ihnen rede. Ich schreibe in Zwei-Minuten-Schritten, was bedeutet, dass ich zwei Tage für ein Stück brauche, das innerhalb einer Stunde fertig sein müsste. Oder länger. Fotos zu bearbeiten – etwas, das mich kreativ herausfordert – kann ich mir nie so lange erlauben, dass ich mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden wäre. Ich habe keine Zeit, neue Dinge zu lernen. Ich habe kaum Zeit, zu duschen, und ich kann mich nicht erinnern, wann ich das letzte Mal meine Haare schön gemacht oder sie offen getragen hätte. Ich muss sie schließlich vor den Kinderhänden in Sicherheit bringen. Ich habe keinen Raum für mich, und das macht es schwer, wenn in manchen Nächten – wenn alle Kinder endlich schlafen – mein Mann auf dem Sofa kuscheln will. Ich will das Gegenteil. Abends um neun, nachdem ich den ganzen Tag immer irgendein Kind an meinem Körper hatte, will ich nicht berührt werden. Ich will meine Glieder von mir strecken und die leere Luft um mich herum atmen. Ich will das Bewusstsein meines eigenen Ichs zurückhaben, wenn auch nur für kurz. Und dann lasse ich meine Erschöpfung und meinen Frust an meinem Mann aus. Ich weiß, dass das nicht die Frau ist, die er verdient, geschweige denn die, die ich sein will. Das Geld ist knapp, und ich werde wahrscheinlich bald wieder arbeiten müssen. Schneller, als ich dachte. Wir können uns keine Kinderbetreuung leisten, die mir erlauben würde, am Tag Dinge zu erledigen und noch viel weniger, abends auszugehen. Dazu kommt, dass wir nach einem Haus suchen, das wir kaufen könnten, um Wurzeln zu schlagen, aber in unserer Preisklasse ist nichts zu finden. Wir können uns unsere aktuelle Miete nicht leisten, also können wir entweder etwas Kleineres suchen (obwohl wir jetzt schon zu wenig Platz haben) oder etwas, das viel weiter weg ist von der Umgebung, die wir kennen und in der wir Freunde haben. Mich frustriert also so ziemlich alles im Moment. Und trotzdem fragt mich jeder, wie ich das alles mache. Die Antwort ist: Ich mache es einfach nicht. Tut mir leid, wenn ich jemandem den Eindruck vermittelt habe, ich sei Superwoman oder das Idealbild einer guten Mutter. Die Wahrheit ist, ich bin ein normaler Mensch in außergewöhnlichen Umständen. Bringen Sie die beiden Dinge nicht durcheinander. Es ist einfach so: Ich bin die meiste Zeit zu übermüdet und zu überarbeitet, als dass ich etwas anderes tun könnte, als auf der Stelle zu treten.
