Qur'an: Allah, der Erhabene, spricht: "Und dient Allah und stellt Ihm nichts zur Seite, und erweist den Eltern Wohltaten und ebenso den Verwandten, den Waisen und Armen, den nahestehenden Nachbarn und den fernen Nachbarn, und dem Gefährten an (eurer) Seite und dem Reisenden und denen, die euch gehören. Wahrlich, Allah liebt nicht die, die überheblich (und) stolz sind." (4:36) Ibn Umar und Aischa (r) berichten, dass der Gesandte Allahs (s) sagte: "(Der Engel) Gabriel (as) empfahl mir so oft die gute Behandlung des Nachbarn, dass ich beinahe dachte, er würde ihn vielleicht zum Erben einsetzen." (Al-Bukhari und Muslim) Abu Dharr (r) berichtet, dass der Prophet (s) sagte: "Oh Abu Dharr! Wenn du Suppe zubereitest, gib ein wenig mehr Wasser hinein und schau, ob dein Nachbar etwas benötigt." (Muslim) Eine andere Version lautet: Mein Freund, der Prophet (s), wies mich an: "Wenn du Suppe zubereitest, gib viel Wasser hinein und dann schau, wie es der Familie deines Nachbarn geht, und gib auch ihr davon." Abu Huraira (r) berichtet, dass der Prophet (s) sprach: "Bei Allah, er glaubt nicht! Bei Allah, er glaubt nicht! Bei Allah, er glaubt nicht." Er wurde gefragt: "Wer, oh Gesandter Allahs!?" Er sagte: "Einer, dessen Nachbar nicht sicher ist vor seiner Bosheit." (Al-Bukhari und Muslim) Die Version bei Muslim lautet: "Derjenige wird nicht ins Paradies eintreten, dessen Nachbar nicht sicher ist vor seiner Bosheit." Hadith 306 ist eine Wiederholung von Hadith Nr. 124 Abu Huraira (r) berichtet, dass der Gesandte Allahs (s) sagte: "Lasst keinen Nachbarn seinem unmittelbaren Nachbarn verbieten, seine Dachsparren an der eigenen Wand zu befestigen." Abu Huraira (r) fügte hinzu: Warum sehe ich, dass ihr euch nun von dieser Sunna abwendet! Bei Allah, ich werde dennoch damit fortfahren, dies zu verkünden! (Al-Bukhari und Muslim) Abu Huraira (r) überliefert, dass der Gesandte Allahs (s) sagte: "Wer an Allah glaubt und an den Jüngsten Tag, soll seinem Nachbarn nicht schaden; und wer an Allah glaubt und an den Jüngsten Tag, soll seinen Gast großzügig behandeln; und wer an Allah glaubt und an den Jüngsten Tag, soll Gutes sprechen oder schweigen!" (Al-Bukhari und Muslim) Abu Schuraih al-Khuza'i (r) überliefert, dass der Prophet (s) sagte: "Wer an Allah glaubt und an den Jüngsten Tag, soll seinen Nachbarn gut behandeln; und wer an Allah glaubt und an den Jüngsten Tag, soll seinen Gast großzügig behandeln; und wer an Allah glaubt und an den Jüngsten Tag, soll Gutes sprechen oder schweigen!" (Muslim) Bei Al-Bukhari wird ein Teil dieses Hadithes berichtet Aischa (r) berichtet: Ich fragte den Propheten (s): "Oh Gesandter Allahs! Ich habe zwei Nachbarn; wem soll ich etwas schenken?" Er antwortete: "Dem Nachbarn, dessen Tür näher an deiner Tür ist." (Al-Bukhari) Abdullah ibn Umar (r) berichtet, dass der Gesandte Allahs (s) sagte: "Der beste Freund aus der Sicht Allahs, des Erhabenen, ist derjenige, welcher seinen Gefährten am besten behandelt, und der beste Nachbar aus der Sicht Allahs, des Erhabenen, ist derjenige, welcher seinen Gefährten am besten behandelt."
