Da mir nun eine verantwortliche Stellung euch gegenüber zugeteilt wurde, und ich nicht der Beste unter euch bin, unterstützt mich, wenn ich Gutes tu, und korrigiert mich, wenn ich Unrecht tu! Wahrheit ist ein anvertrautes Gut und Lüge ist Verrat. Der Schwache unter euch ist bei mir stark, bis ich ihm, so Allah will, seine Rechte wieder zurückgegeben habe. Und der Starke unter euch ist schwach, bis ich ihm (gerechterweise) seinen Anspruch wegnehme, so Allâh will. Gehorcht mir, solange ich Allâh und Seinem Gesandten gehorche! Wenn ich also Allâh und Seinem Gesandten nicht gehorche, dann schuldet ihr mir keinen Gehorsam!" Abû Bakr erinnerte die Muslime daran, dass sie ihm nicht lediglich auf Grund seiner Macht und seiner persönlichen Legitimation blind folgen oder seine Handlungen blind akzeptieren sollen. Stattdessen verdeutlichte er, dass die Norm, zu der sie ihn anhalten sollen, Gehorsamkeit gegenüber Allâh dem Hocherhabenen und Seinem Gesandten sei. Wenn er von diesem Pfad abkomme, dann müsse er korrigiert und dürfe ihm, wenn nötig, nicht gehorcht werden. Unsere heutige Gemeinschaft muss sich die Worte Abû Bakrs (möge Allah mit ihm zufrieden sein) anhören! Mit vielen vorherrschenden gesellschaftlichen Krankheiten und Sittenlosigkeit in unseren Gemeinden ist es zunehmend schwierig geworden, unangebrachtes Verhalten zu verurteilen – denn wer hat keinen Geliebten oder Freund, der einige Fehler oder Sünden begangen hat? Wir verharmlosen Sünden oft, weil wir freundliche und großzügige Menschen kennen – „gute Menschen" –, die sie begangen haben und sich oft besser benehmen als diejenigen, die diese Sünden unterlassen. Bei Diskussionen wie dieser, fallen wir in den gefährlichen Abgrund, Taten mit einem dehnbaren Maßstab zu beurteilen. Wir beginnen damit, uns selbst relativ zueinander zu messen statt im Verhältnis zu einer Zusammenstellung festgelegter Richtlinien. Allâh der Hocherhabene sagt: „O die ihr glaubt, seid Wahrer der Gerechtigkeit, Zeugen für Allâh, auch wenn es gegen euch selbst oder die Eltern und nächsten Verwandten sein sollte! Ob er (der Betreffende) reich oder arm ist, so steht Allâh beiden näher. Darum folgt nicht der Neigung, dass ihr nicht gerecht handelt! Wenn ihr (die Wahrheit) verdreht oder euch (davon) abwendet, gewiss, so ist Allâh dessen, was ihr tut, Kundig." (Sûra 4:135). Nur weil jemand, den wir kennen oder lieben, einen Fehler begangen hat, bedeutet dies nicht, dass es für uns erlaubt ist, dies auch zu tun! Manchmal erliegen wir beim Versuch, es zu vermeiden andere zu beurteilen oder ihnen Unwohlsein zu bereiten, dem Gegenteil. Wir beginnen alle Fehler auszublenden und lehnen es ab, Leute zur Verantwortung zu ziehen. Die Rede Abû Bakrs (möge Allah mit ihm zufrieden sein) führt uns zu einer ausgewogenen Annäherung: Beurteilt Taten gemäß einer klaren Zusammenstellung von Richtlinien - dem Qurân und der Sunna! „Solange ich Allâh und Seinem Gesandten gehorche..." Zieht Menschen, einschließlich euch selbst, für Taten, die in der Öffentlichkeit begangen wurden oder andere beeinträchtigen, zur Verantwortung! „Wenn ich Gutes tu, dann unterstützt mich und wenn ich Unrecht tu, dann korrigiert mich!"
