Consumption of intoxicants & drugs: an Islamic perspective
The young Muslims of today are facing an ever-increasing number of dilemmas. One of these is drugs. What does Islam have to say about it? How should Muslims regard drugs? To know this, we must see what the Quran and the Sunnah (prophetic tradition) say regarding intoxicants and narcotics.
Allaah Almighty states in the Noble Quran what means: "O You who believe! Indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allaah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful." [Quran: 5:90]
Allaah Almighty has described using intoxicants, amongst other things, as being appalling, despicable and hateful acts of Satan, and He has commanded us to abstain from them. Allaah, thereafter, states in the next verse, that which means: "Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allaah and from prayer. So will you not desist? [Quran: 5:91] This Aayah (verse) tells us how it is a detestable act of Satan, because intoxicants, in addition to sowing the seeds of enmity, prevent one from the remembrance of Allaah.
Bear in mind that when the term intoxicant is used, it also encompasses narcotics, because they too, among other things, result in the loss of self-control. There are also many narrations stated by the Noble Prophet with regards to intoxicants, such as:
1) Jaabir reported that the Noble Prophet said: "Whosoever drinks wine, whip him. If he repeats it for the fourth time, kill him." He (Jaabir) continued: "A man was later brought to the Prophet who had drunk wine for the fourth time. He beat him, but did not kill him." [At-Tirmithi & Abu Daawood]
The following Hadeeth (prophetic narration) clearly states that the Noble Prophet prohibited intoxicants:
2) Ibn 'Umar reported that the Messenger of Allaah said: "Every intoxicant is Khamr (wine) and every intoxicant is Haraam (unlawful). Whosoever drinks wine in this world and dies whilst having consumed it and not having repented from it will not drink it in the next world [i.e. in Paradise]." [Muslim]
3) Jaabir narrated that the Messenger of Allaah said: "Whatever intoxicates in a greater quantity is also unlawful in a small quantity." [At-Tirmithi, Abu Daawood & Ibn Maajah]
4) Abdullaah bin 'Amr reported from the Prophet who said: "One who is disobedient to parents, gambles, is harsh after charity (i.e., he reminds others of his charity to them) or is a habitual drunkard shall not enter Paradise." [Ad-Daarimi]
5) Ibn 'Abbaas reported that the Messenger of Allaah said: "If a habitual drunkard dies, he will meet Allaah like the one who worships idols." [Ahmad & Ibn Maajah]
In other narrations, Prophet Muhammad described intoxicants as:
1. The key to all evils.
2. The head of all errors and lapses.
3. The most terrible of major sins.
4. The mother of all atrocities.
5. The mother of all evils.
Why are drugs and intoxicants so abhorrent, awful, foul and vile in the sight of Islam? Let us look at what the scholars have said regarding the effects of drugs from worldly as well as religious perspectives:
Imaam Ibn Hajar Al-Makki narrates from some scholars that there are one hundred and twenty worldly and religious detriments that result from consuming hashish (Cannabis).
Not ten, or twenty, but one hundred and twenty harms occur due to the consumption of such drugs! Ibn Seenaa stated that large amounts of it dries up semen (The fluid that carries sperm, thus rendering a consumer of narcotics sexually impotent). Ibn Al-Beetaar stated: "A group of people used it (drugs) and therefore became mentally deranged (insane)."
Imaam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "All the faults, blemishes, and other bad things in Khamr (wine) are present in hashish, and more, because the majority of faults in khamr affect religion, but hashish affects, to a great extent, both religion and body."
Some might say that all drugs do not intoxicate, and that drugs like heroin and hashish are only depressants which slacken and weaken the mind. The answer to this lies is in the following statement:
Umm Salamah said: "The Prophet prohibited every intoxicant and Muftir (every substance which slackens the mind)."
The unanimity of the Ummah (Muslim nation) on the prohibition of narcotics is also narrated from many scholars. Imaam Az- Zarkashi stated: "The consensus of the Ummah is narrated from several scholars on the prohibition of hashish; those scholars include Qiraafi and Ibn Taymiyyah."
If that was not enough, Imaam Ibn Taymiyyah has further stated: "Whosoever regards it lawful has become a Kaafir (disbeliever)."
The scholars of all four schools of Islamic jurisprudence unanimously agree that consuming anything intoxicating is Haraam. Certain plants have also been included in this, as Imaam Rafee' clearly stated that: "The scholars have included intoxicating plants, etc. within this prohibition."
So far, the prohibition of drugs has been proven by means of the Quran, Sunnah and Ijmaa' (consensus of scholars). It can further be proved by Qiyaas (analogical deduction) i.e. logical reasoning. When a person is intoxicated (or 'stoned' in street language) he does not know what he is doing. He could easily kill someone or fornicate, etc. In the same manner, to feed his habit, he will most probably have to steal. These are, without a shadow of doubt, unlawful. There is a general rule that whatever leads to something Haraam (unlawful) is in itself Haraam. Thus, drugs have been proven as Haraam by all four sources of Islamic jurisprudence (Quran, Sunnah, Ijmaa' and Qiyaas).
What is the legal punishment for consuming drugs?
Imaam Al-Maawardi stressed that by consuming plants, which cause over-excitement (intoxication), the Hadd (legal punishment) will become necessary, which, in this case, is eighty lashes.
Imaam Qiraafi states that all the scholars of his period agreed that its consumption is Haraam.
However, there is a difference of opinion as to what punishment becomes incumbent due to consuming drugs; either Hadd, because it intoxicates or Ta'zeer (reprimand) because it corrupts the mind.
According to three prominent Imaams (Shaafi'i, Maalik and Ahmad), consuming anything intoxicating, however small the amount, will bring the legal punishment of eighty lashes to the person. However, according to the Hanafi school, if an intoxicating amount has been taken, then, according to Imam Muhammad, Hadd will be necessary. According to Imaam Abu Haneefah and Imaam Abu Yusuf, he will be reprimanded severely, but the Hadd will not be imposed.
Ta'zeer is such a punishment that holds no specific amount and is for the discretion of the Judge. We should note that according to some scholars, in certain cases, Ta'zeer could prove to be more severe than the Hadd itself, such as when the person persistently commits the crime.

Allah, exalté soit-Il, a comblé et honoré notre communauté islamique en faisant d'elle une communauté du juste milieu, dont les membres sont vertueux et intègres, puisqu'Il dit (sens du verset) : « Et aussi Nous avons fait de vous une communauté de juste milieu » (Coran 2/143). Elle est la meilleure communauté qu'Allah, exalté soit-Il, ait fait surgir pour les hommes, comme Allah, exalté soit-Il, en témoigne en disant (sens du verset) :
« Vous êtes la meilleure communauté, qu'on ait fait surgir pour les hommes. Vous ordonnez le convenable, interdisez le blâmable et croyez en Allah » (Coran 3/110).
Ensuite, Il, exalté soit-Il, a élu parmi les meilleurs membres de cette communauté et ceux qui ont la lignée et le rang les plus distingués un Prophète et Messager et dit (sens du verset) :
« Certes, un Messager pris parmi vous, est venu à vous, auquel pèsent lourd les difficultés que vous subissez, qui est plein de sollicitude pour vous, qui est compatissant et miséricordieux envers les croyants » (Coran 9/128).
Il lui a révélé le Livre le plus noble en le faisant prévaloir sur les Livres précédents, Allah, exalté soit-Il, dit (sens du verset) :
« Et sur toi (Muhammad) Nous avons fait descendre le Livre avec la vérité, pour confirmer le Livre qui était là avant lui et pour prévaloir sur lui » (Coran 5/48).
Allah, exalté soit-Il, a donc honoré cette communauté en lui envoyant ce Prophète () et ce Saint Coran, dont l'adoption des préceptes et de la ligne de conduite a fait d'elle la meilleure communauté, la plus modérée et la plus juste. Ensuite, Allah, exalté soit-Il, a comblé cette communauté d'hommes qui furent les premiers à se conformer aux enseignements du Coran et de la Sunna. Il s'agit des Compagnons du Prophète () des Tâbi'ûn et de ceux qui les ont suivis dans un bon comportement, durant les trois meilleures générations, à propos desquelles le Prophète () a dit : «Les meilleures personnes sont celles de mon siècle, puis de celui qui le suit, puis de celui qui le suit. » (Boukhari et Mouslim)
Voici donc la fine fleur de la communauté, suivie de ceux qui, en tout lieu et à toute époque, ont adopté la même ligne de conduite et sont restés fidèles au Livre d'Allah, exalté soit-Il, et à la Sunna de Son Prophète () pour composer dans leur ensemble l'élite de la communauté et les plus modérés et intègres de ses membres. En fait, après la mort du Prophète () puis à l'époque des califes bien guidés, et plus précisément à la fin du califat de 'Alî ibn Abî Tâlib, qu'Allah soit satisfait de lui, la division et les controverses ont commencé à apparaître, engendrant les bida' (innovations) des Kharidjites et les outrances et séditions des chiites. Les bida' se succédèrent, les sectes se formèrent, et les générations suivantes ont hérité de nombreuses déviations doctrinales et morales et se sont éloignées de la voie du juste milieu et de la modération, tracée par le Saint Coran et suivie par le Prophète ().
Quiconque médite sur la situation actuelle de la communauté constatera des contradictions dans ses objectifs, ses prémisses et ses inclinations, et verra tantôt l'excès et l'outrance, tantôt la négligence et la versatilité chez la plupart de ses membres. Et si nous nous tournons vers les prédicateurs et les réformateurs, tracassés par la situation douloureuse de leur communauté, nous les trouverons plongés dans la recherche d'un remède ou d'un moyen pour faire sortir l'humanité des ténèbres à la lumière, de l'égarement vers la bonne voie. Or, ils n'ont pas pu échapper à l'influence qu'exerce cette situation sur eux. Par conséquent, certains sont passés d'un extrême à l'autre, tombant tantôt dans la négligence, tantôt dans l'excès.
En d'autres termes, certains de ces prédicateurs ont eu tendance à l'exagération en matière religieuse, au point de redonner vie aux anciennes idées des Kharidjites ; d'autres se sont montrés tellement négligents et indifférents qu'ils ont fait table rase des caractéristiques de la religion et des principes du credo. Ils ont été soucieux de réunir les gens, sans pour autant les purifier et leur apprendre le Livre et la Sunna.
Par conséquent, les propriétés de l'unicité divine et l'essence des actes d'adoration ont été perdues. Entre ces deux extrémités, un groupe a adopté la position du juste milieu, fidèle à la tradition, pour rectifier les conceptions et guider les gens vers le droit chemin conformément à la voie des pieux prédécesseurs et de Ahlu al-Sunna wal-Djamâ'a, débarrassant la religion des excès des fanatiques, des impostures de ceux qui nient la vérité, des négligences des paresseux et de ceux qui pratiquent l'atermoiement, et des allégations des fauteurs de troubles ; car au sein de cet état de fait douloureux et de cette perturbation destructrice, la communauté a un besoin croissant de gens qui la guident vers le droit chemin et vers la voie du juste milieu pour la sauver de ses faux-pas et de sa somnolence ; et il faut rappeler aux prédicateurs et aux réformateurs la vraie méthode et la voie claire. Allah, exalté soit-Il, dit (sens du verset) : « Et voilà Mon chemin dans toute sa rectitude, suivez-le donc » (Coran 6/153). La communauté a un besoin urgent de la voie du juste milieu, susceptible de la sauver de cette déviation qui lui a fait subir calamités et malheurs. J'ai remarqué que le Saint Coran nous a tracé cette voie sous tous ses aspects, qu'il s'agisse des principes, des cas subsidiaires, du credo, des actes de dévotion, de l'éthique, du comportement, des conceptions et des œuvres.
La modération en tant que voie a été exprimée dans le Coran de diverses façons, explicitement et implicitement, en détails comme de manière globale, sous forme de récits et de narrations, de prescriptions et d'interdictions.
Le Coran a souligné que la modération a des fondements. Pour connaitre ces fondements tout prédicateur doit absolument savoir ce qu'est l'exagération, la négligence et le droit chemin.
Quiconque désire savoir ce qu'est précisément la modération est enjoint d'assimiler les trois choses susmentionnées. Car le chemin droit est le juste milieu entre l'exagération et l'indifférence, entre l'excès et la négligence. Il représente le bien, et c'est ainsi que se réalisent dans ce droit chemin deux exigences de la modération qui sont : le bien et le juste milieu. Et le Coran explique que la modération comporte des caractéristiques qui la distinguent des autres notions. En considérant ces caractéristiques de manière globale et non individuelle, en analysant le Coran, en prenant connaissance de ce qui concerne la modération de cette nation par rapport aux autres, ainsi que des travaux de certains chercheurs en la matière, il est possible de déterminer les traits caractéristiques de cette modération.
En fait, la détermination de ces traits est la mission de tout prédicateur musulman, pour ne pas la laisser à ceux qui sont dominés par leurs passions. Car la modération, comme toute chose précieuse, est difficile à atteindre. Et comment en serait-il autrement alors que c'est la marque de notre nation islamique et l'un des signes distinctifs dont Allah, exalté soit-Il, l'a comblée par bonté et grâce de Sa part. Allah, exalté soit-Il, dit (sens du verset) : « Telle est la grâce d'Allah. Il la donne à qui Il veut. Allah est Immense et Omniscient » (Coran 5/54).
Les traits caractéristiques les plus importants de la modération sont :
1- Le bien
2- L'équité
3- La facilité et l'évitement de la gêne
4- La sagesse
5- La droiture
6- Le juste milieu
Chacun de ces traits renferme des éléments qui lui correspondent et qui aident à réaliser son but, et la connaissance de ces traits aide le prédicateur à déterminer et à connaître la signification de la modération.

Prangere die Fehler deiner Brüder nicht an
Einmal waren al-Kisai und al-Yazidi vor dem Herrscher, ar-Rashid, versammelt. Es trat die Zeit des Abendgebetes (Maghrib) ein, und sie mussten jemanden unter sich auswählen, der das Gebet leitete. Die Wahl war nicht schwierig, denn al-Kisai war ein namhafter Rezitator des Qur'ans; bis zum heutigen Tage ist er als einer der 'Sieben Berühmten Rezitatoren' bekannt.
Nachdem das Gebet begonnen hatte, und er mit dem Rezitieren der Eröffnungssure fertig war, fuhr al-Kisai mit der Sure al-Kafirun (die Ungläubigen) fort:
„Sprich (O Muhammad zu diesen Ungläubigen): "O ihr Ungläubigen (an Allah, Seine Einheit, Seine Engel, Seine Bücher, Seine Gesandten, dem Tag der Auferstehung, und al-Qadr, etc.) .." (109:1)
Obwohl dies eines der kürzesten Kapitel ist, das sogar von den meisten Kindern auswendig gelernt wird, machte al-Kisai einen Fehler in seiner Rezitation.
Als das Gebet zu Ende war, rief al-Yazidi , seine große Verwunderung zur Schau stellend, aus: „Der Rezitator und Imam von Kufa in Verwirrung, Fehler begehend, und das „Kapitel der Ungläubigen"vergessend!"
Als dann später in der Nacht die Zeit zum Verrichten des Nachtgebetes (Isha) eintrat, wartete al-Yazidi nicht und stellte sich selbst nach vorne, um die Menschen im Gebet zu leiten. Sobald das Gebet anfing, begann seine Stimme zu zittern, und er vergaß jenes Kapitel im Qur'an, das am leichtesten von allen ist – „die Eröffnungssure":
„Alles Lob gebührt Allah, dem Herrn der Welten…" (1:2)
Nachdem das Gebet zu Ende war, drehte sich al-Kisai zu al-Yazidi und sagte:
„Halte deine Zunge zurück und sprich nicht, andernfalls wirst du auf die Probe gestellt.
Wahrlich, man wird garantiert auf die Probe gestellt, wenn man den Mund öffnet [um die Fehler von anderen anzuprangern]."

Con un trapo en la cabeza

Cuando uno recupera la decencia, empieza a ver las cosas de manera distinta. Por ejemplo: lo que antes era un vestido bonito en tu armario, de repente se convierte en una camisa larga, y surge la pregunta: "¿Cómo es que yo me ponía esto sin nada debajoí"
Esta nueva visión de las cosas no es algo premeditado, es parte de un proceso, como cuando el cabello crece: no se siente, pero se ven los resultados. Es una trasformación que vive la musulmana en medio de su reversión, natural y en ocasiones fácil. También es una de las que tiene más repercusiones sociales: el vestuario, el maquillaje, los accesorios, la forma de comportarse… Todo se trasforma en una actitud de modestia que en ocasiones choca con lo que la gente está acostumbrada, sólo porque un buen día sientes que ya no necesitas licras ajustadas o escotes amplios para ser mujer. Algo dentro de ti cambia y tus muslos, busto, cintura, tu cuerpo en general deja de ser una pieza en exhibición para convertirse en parte integral de lo que eres, y ante todo, una parte respetable. Dejas de creer que "la que no muestra no vende" para preguntarte: "¿Acaso estoy en ventaí"
En medio de ese proceso está el Hiyab, que puede ser usado todo el tiempo o sólo en algunos momentos, pero que representa una actitud frente a la vida y la exteriorización de un sentimiento interno y profundo: revela un proceso que se está viviendo o que ya culminó en la vida de la creyente.
En Egipto, una de las primeras cosas que noté fue la apariencia femenina: si bien muchas mujeres usan Hiyab (Al Hamdulil-lah), hay otras que tienen un bonito trapo en la cabeza. Y he visto trapos de colores, con letricas, con adornos, grandes, pequeños, pañuelos, moñitas y un sinfín de cositas. Aquí he sentido la diferencia entre usar Hiyab y taparse el pelo con tela.
Cuando llegué me advirtieron que no podía salir a la calle sin Hiyab, pero no me dieron una razón islámica, no me hablaron de la sumisión a la voluntad Divina, ni del recato, ni del decoro, que es lo que nos manda Al-lah:
"Y diles a las creyentes que recaten sus miradas, se abstengan de cometer obscenidades, no muestren de sus adornos más de lo que está a simple vista…" (La Luz: 31).
En su lugar, me explicaron que aquí los hombres tratan a las mujeres sin velo como si fueran prostitutas, así que para evitar inconvenientes en el trato (sobre todo teniendo en cuenta mi apariencia extranjera) es mejor que me cubra.
Esta recomendación (que me hicieron con la mejor intención) me llevó a reflexionar acerca del velo en este país, y es que aquí su uso es más tradicional que vocacional. Quiero decir: algunas mujeres (no todas, Al Hamdulil-lah) no usan Hiyab sino que se ponen un trapo en la cabeza, porque así lo impone su tradición, la costumbre del país, porque es una exigencia paterna, porque deben camuflarse en la sociedad o de lo contrario las miran como bichos raros… Pero definitivamente, el hecho de que lleven tela cubriendo el cabello no hace que tengan recato ni modestia. He visto mujeres llevando un trapo en la cabeza pero luciendo uno de esos vestidos respecto a los cuales el recato grita que son camisas, o pantalones a los que la decencia clasifica como medias veladas.
En medio de este panorama, recordé a mis hermanas en Latinoamérica que viven una situación contraria: allá cubrirse es el inconveniente. Muchas usan Hiyab permanentemente y por eso enfrentan graves problemas: pierden el trabajo, pelean con sus familiares, confrontan compañeros de estudio, son rechazadas por sus propios padres, etc., todo porque tienen una verdadera necesidad de adorar a Al-lah y someterse a Su voluntad.
Conozco hermanas que hicieron la Shahada y al otro día Al-lah les dio la fortaleza para usar Hiyab siempre, otras que apenas están recorriendo el camino para encontrar esa fortaleza y respuesta a muchas preguntas en sus vidas diarias, otras que llevan algún tiempo en el Islam y en su camino encuentran que por diferentes motivos, todavía no pueden usar Hiyab de manera permanente y prefieren tomar siempre una actitud de modestia, aun cuando no cubran su cabello. Estas hermanas no sólo enfrentan su propio proceso, sino la crítica de muchos que las señalan como personas faltas de fe, mujeres que no deberían estar en el Islam, las desacreditan y les lanzan acusaciones graves que ellas deben sobrellevar con paciencia y tranquilidad.
Todas debemos vivir nuestros caminos y tomar decisiones. Todas son actitudes, puntos de vista y decisiones diferentes. Cada cual tiene sus razones y es algo que debemos recordar, no sólo para las hermanas sino también para los hermanos, porque en ocasiones se olvidan de que sólo Al-lah es Quien juzga las acciones y las intenciones de nuestro corazón:
"'Abdullah Ibnu Utbah Ibnu Masud, que Al-lah esté complacido con él, narró que escuchó a Omar Ibn Al Jattab, que Al-lah esté complacido con él, decir: "En vida del Profeta, sal-lal-lahu 'alaihi wa sal-lam, la revelación describía el estado de la gente. Ahora, desde que la revelación ha terminado, nosotros consideraremos a las personas según sus acciones visibles. A quien se muestra bueno lo tomamos como tal, lo aceptamos, no indagamos acerca de sus intenciones ocultas o motivos; Al-lah juzgará sus intenciones ocultas y lo llamará a declarar. A quien exhibe o muestra algo malo, no lo aceptamos y no le creemos, aunque afirme que su intención es buena" [Bujari].
Abu 'Abdul-lah Tariq Ibnu Ushaim, que Al-lah esté complacido con él, dijo: "Escuché al Mensajero de Al-lah, sal-lal-lahu 'alaihi wa sal-lam, decir: 'Quien afirma que no existe divinidad salvo Al-lah y rechaza todo lo que se adora fuera de Al-lah, ha asegurado su vida y sus bienes, y su juicio le corresponde a Al-lah'." [Muslim]
El punto es que el Hiyab no sólo es una tela sobre el pelo sino muchísimo más, representa decoro y sumisión, y en el caso de las hermanas revertidas, también es el símbolo de un proceso interior, un camino recorrido. Por eso es importante entender la diferencia entre tener un pañuelo en la cabeza y un Hiyab.
En mi opinión, el verdadero Hiyab consiste más en una actitud frente a la vida que en los metros de tela que se tengan en la cabeza. En ocasiones he visto mujeres vestidas con recato y moderación sin llevar un centímetro de tela en su cabello, que proyectan una actitud musulmana; otras que llevan el Hiyab correcto: sobre el cabello y dentro de su corazón; y otras que aunque no se les vea el cabello, su actitud no corresponde a un Hiyab.
Recordemos que Al-lah lo ha dicho en el sagrado Corán:
"Os hemos proporcionado (dos clases de vestidos). Uno (el convencional) es para el recato de vuestra desnudez y para lucimiento. Pero el otro, el más efectivo, es el de sentir la permanente presencia de Dios con vosotros, es el más útil y trascendental ropaje." (El muro divisorio: 26)
De nada sirve que nos cubramos con tela si sentimos que eso es tan sólo un disfraz para eventos sociales. El Hiyab debe estar primero en el corazón y en la actitud, luego en la cabeza, cubriendo el aura de la mujer y no sus ideas u opiniones.
El cambio que enfrenta una mujer musulmana en nuestra sociedad es fuerte y profundo, y el Velo es parte integral de este. El camino para usarlo puede ser largo y maratónico o una carrera de velocidad. Sea cual sea, no vale la pena esperar a venir a un país de medio oriente para usar el Hiyab, porque el Velo es mucho más que tela en la cabeza: es actitud, reflexión, moderación, recato, una cantidad de cosas que van más allá de la tela pero que definitivamente se reflejan en esta.
Y Al-lah y Su Mensajero saben más.

أمهات المؤمنين
كثيرةٌ هي الخصائص التي اختص الله بها نبيّه محمداً - صلى الله عليه وسلم - على غيره من البشر، إظهاراً لقدره ومكانته ، وإعلاءً لمرتبته وشأنه ، ومنها خصوصية كثرة زوجاته ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ التي أثيرت حولها الشبهات من أعداء الإسلام والمنافقين قديما وحديثا ..
فمن خصائص النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أنه أبيح له الزواج بأكثر من أربع ، قال الشافعي : " دلت سنة رسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ المبينة عن الله أنه لا يجوز لأحد غير رسول الله أن يجمع بين أكثر من أربع من النسوة ".. وقال ابن كثير : " وهذا الذي قاله الشافعي مجمع عليه بين العلماء " .. فهذا الحكم من خصائصه ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ التي انفرد به دون غيره من الأمة ، وذلك أنه ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ معصوم من الجور الذي قد يقع فيه غيره ، إضافة لما في زواجه بأكثر من أربع من تحقيق لأهداف وحكم هامة ..
ويطلق على زوجات النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أمهات المؤمنين ، تكريما لشأنهن وإعلاء لقدرهن ، وقد شرفهن الله - تعالى - بذلك فقال : { النَّبِيُّ أَوْلَى بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَأَزْوَاجُهُ أُمَّهَاتُهُمْ }(الأحزاب: من الآية6).. وقد بلغت زوجات النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ اللاتي دخل بهنّ إحدى عشرة ، كما ذكر ابن حجر في فتح الباري ، وابن القيم في زاد المعاد ، وهن كالآتي :
خديجة بنت خويلد ـ رضي الله عنها ـ :
تزوجها النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بمكة وهو ابن خمس وعشرين سنة ، وهي أول امرأة آمنت من هذه الأمة ، وبقيت مع النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ إلى أن أكرمه الله برسالته ، فآمنت به ونصرته ، فكانت له وزير صدق ، وماتت قبل الهجرة بثلاث سنين ، ولأم المؤمنين خديجة ـ رضي الله عنها ـ خصائص كثيرة اختصت بها ، منها : أنه ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ لم يتزوج غيرها ، وأن أولاده جميعا كلهم منها إلا إبراهيم ـ عليه السلام ـ ، وهم القاسم وعبد الله وزينب ورقية وأم كلثوم وفاطمة ..
ومن عظيم خصائصها أن الله ـ عز وجل ـ بعث إليها السلام مع جبريل ـ عليه السلام ـ ، فعن أبي هريرة ـ رضي الله عنه ـ قال : ( أتى جبريل عليه السلام فقال : يا رسول الله ، هذه خديجة أتتك بإناء فيه طعام ، أو إناء فيه شراب ، فإذا هي أتتك ، فاقرأ عليها من ربها السلام ، وبشرها ببيت في الجنة من قصب (لؤلؤ مجوف) ، لا صخب فيه ولا نصب )(البخاري).
سودة بنت زمعة ـ رضي الله عنها ـ :
هاجر زوجها السكران بن عمرو إلى الحبشة فتنصر ومات بها كافرا ، فزوجه بها والدها زمعة بن قيس .. ومن خصائصها أن النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ لما أراد طلاقها آثرت عائشة ـ رضي الله عنها ـ بيومها ووهبته لها ، حباً لرسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وإيثاراً لبقائها معه فأمسكها ، فكان يقسم لنسائه ولا يقسم لها ، وهي راضية بذلك ، مؤثرة لرضى رسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عنها .
عائشة بنت أبي بكرـ رضي الله عنهما ـ :
تزوجها رسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وهي بنت ست سنين قبل الهجرة بسنتين ، وبنى بها بالمدينة وهي بنت تسع سنين ، ومات عنها وهي بنت ثمان عشرة سنة ، وتوفيت بالمدينة ، ودفنت بالبقيع ..
ومن خصائصها أنها كانت أحب أزواج النبي إليه ، فقد سئل النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ : ( أي الناس أحب إليك ؟ ، قال: عائشة ، قيل : فمن الرجال ؟ ، قال : أبوها )(البخاري) ..
ولم يتزوج النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بِكْراً غيرها ، وكان الوحي ينزل عليه ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وهو في لحافها دون غيرها ، ولما أنزل الله آية التخيير : { يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِأَزْوَاجِكَ إِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا فَتَعَالَيْنَ أُمَتِّعْكُنَّ وَأُسَرِّحْكُنَّ سَرَاحاً جَمِيلاً }(الأحزاب:28) ، بدأ النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بها فخيرها فقال : ( ولا عليك أن لا تعجلي حتى تستأمري أبويك ، فقالت : أفي هذا أستأمر أبوي؟ ، فإني أريد الله ورسوله )(البخاري) ، فاقتدى بها بقية أزواجه ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وقلن كما قالت ..
ومن خصائصها أن الله برأها مما رماها به أهل الإفك ، وأنزل في براءتها وحياً يتلى إلى يوم القيامة .. وقد تُوفي النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ في بيتها ، وعلى صدرها ، ودفن في حجرتها .. وكان الأكابر من الصحابة ـ رضي الله عنهم ـ إذا أشكل عليهم أمر من الدين استفتوها ، فيجدون علمه عندها ..
حفصة بنت عمر ـ رضي الله عنهما ـ :
تزوجها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وكانت قبله عند خنيس بن حذافة وكان من أصحاب رسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وشهد بدرا وأحدا ، وأصيب في أحد بجراح مات منها , فتزوجها النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ..
ومن خصائصها ـ رضي الله عنها ـ أن النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ طلقها ، فأتاه جبريل فقال : ( إن الله يأمرك أن تراجع حفصة فإنها صوامة قوامة ، وإنها زوجتك في الجنة )(الطبراني) ..
أم حبيبة ـ رضي الله عنها ـ :
هي رملة بنت صخر بن حرب ، هاجرت مع زوجها عبيد الله بن جحش إلى أرض الحبشة فتنصر بها ، فتزوجها النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وهي بأرض الحبشة ، وأصدقها عنه النجاشي أربعمائة دينار ، وبعث عمرو بن أمية الضمري إلى النجاشي يخطبها ، وولي تزويجها عثمان بن عفان ـ رضي الله عنه ـ ..
وهي التي أكرمت فراش رسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أن يجلس عليه أبوها قبل إسلامه وقالت : إنك مشرك ، ومنعته من الجلوس عليه ..
أم سلمة ـ رضي الله عنها ـ :
هي هند بنت أبي أمية بن المغيرة ، كانت قبله عند أبي سلمة بن عبد الأسد ، وكانت - رضي الله عنها - من النساء العاقلات الناضجات ، يشهد لهذا ما حدث يوم الحديبية ..
قال الإمام ابن حجر : " .. وإشارتها على النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يوم الحديبية تدل على وفور عقلها وصواب رأيها " ..
وقد أخذت أم سلمة حظّاً وافراً من أنوار النبوّة وعلومها ، حتى غدت ممن يُشار إليها بالبنان فقها وعلماً ، وكانت آخر أمهات المؤمنين موتاً ..
زينب بنت جحش ـ رضي الله عنها ـ :
هي زينب بنت جحش بنت عمته أميمة بنت عبد المطلب ، وكانت قبله عند مولاه زيد بن حارثة وطلقها ، فزوجها الله تعالى للنبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ من فوق سبع سماوات ، وأنزل قوله ـ تعالى ـ : { فَلَمَّا قَضَى زَيْدٌ مِنْهَا وَطَراً زَوَّجْنَاكَهَا لِكَيْ لا يَكُونَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ حَرَجٌ فِي أَزْوَاجِ أَدْعِيَائِهِمْ إِذَا قَضَوْا مِنْهُنَّ وَطَراً وَكَانَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ مَفْعُولاً }(الأحزاب: من الآية37) ..
وكانت تفخر بذلك على سائر أزواج رسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وتقول : ( زوجكن أهاليكن ، وزوجني الله من فوق سبع سماواته )(البخاري) ، وتوفيت بالمدينة سنة عشرين ودفنت بالبقيع ..
زينب بنت خزيمة ـ رضي الله عنها ـ :
هي زينب بنت خزيمة الهلالية ، وكانت تحت عبد الله بن جحش ـ رضي الله عنه ـ الذي شهد بدرا وقتل يوم أحد .. تزوجها رسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ سنة ثلاث من الهجرة ، وكانت تسمى أم المساكين لكثرة إطعامها المساكين ، وعاشت ثمانية أشهر مع النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ثم توفيت ، وقد صلى عليها رسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ودفنها بالبقيع .
جويرية بنت الحارث ـ رضي الله عنها ـ :
تزوج رسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ جويرية بنت الحارث من بني المصطلق سنة ست من الهجرة ، وتوفيت سنة ستة وخمسين ، وهي التي أعتق المسلمون بسببها مائة أهل بيت من الرقيق ، وقالوا : أصهار رسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ، وكان ذلك من بركتها على قومها ـ رضي الله عنها ـ ..
صفية بنت حيي ـ رضي الله عنها ـ :
تزوج النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ صفية بنت حيي سنة سبع بعد غزوة خيبر حيث سبيت فيها ، وكانت قبله تحت كنانة بن أبي الحقيق ، توفيت سنة ست وثلاثين ، وقيل سنة خمسين ، ومن خصائصها أن النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أعتقها وجعل عتقها صداقها ، قال أنس ـ رضي الله عنه ـ : ( أمهرها نفسها )(البخاري) ..
ميمونة بنت الحارث ـ رضي الله عنها ـ :
أشار العباس ـ رضي الله عنه ـ على النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بزواجها ، فتزوجها مواساة لفقد زوجها ، واعترافاً بفضلها ، وتحبيباً لقومها في الإسلام ، وقد تزوجها النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وبنى بها بسَرِفَ (مكان قرب مكة) ، وماتت بسرف ، وهي آخر من تزوج من أمهات المؤمنين ، وهي خالة عبد الله بن عباس ـ رضي الله عنهما ـ ..
وكانت ـ رضي الله عنها ـ مثلاً عالياً للصلاح والتقوى ، حتى شهدت لها أم المؤمنين عائشة ـ رضي الله عنها ـ بقولها : ".. أما أنها كانت من أتقانا لله وأوصلنا للرحم " .
وقد روت عدداً من الأحاديث عن رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - ، كان منها صفة غسله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ..
هؤلاء جملة من دخل بهن من النساء ، وهن نساؤه ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ في الدنيا والآخرة ، وقد عاشت زوجات النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أمهات المؤمنين في غرفهن الصغيرة بجوار المسجد النبوي ، يستمعن لأحاديث النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ، ويشتركن في بيان تعاليم الإسلام وأحكامه ـ خاصة في شئون المرأة ـ ، ثم لهن حياتهن الخاصة مع النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ الحافلة بالعبادة والعلم ، المليئة بالدروس والعبر، الدافقة بالخير والعطاء ..
وقد توفيت اثنتان منهن في حياة النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وهما خديجة وزينب بنت خزيمة - رضى الله عنهما - ، وتوفى رسول الله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عن تسع منهن ، ودُفِنَّ جميعا في البقيع بالمدينة المنورة ، ما عدا خديجة ـ رضي الله عنها ـ فدفنت في الحجون بمكة ، وميمونة بنت الحارث - رضي الله عنها - دفنت في سرف قريبا من مكة .
لقد عاش النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - إلى الخامسة والعشرين من عمره في بيئة جاهلية ، عفيف النفس ، دون أن ينساق في شيء من التيارات الفاسدة التي تموج حوله ، كما أنه تزوج من خديجة ـ رضي الله عنها ـ ولها ما يقارب ضعف عمره ، حتى تجاوز مرحلة الشباب ، وقد ظل هذا الزواج قائماً حتى توفيت عن خمسة وستين عاماً ، وقد قرب النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ من الخمسين من عمره ، دون أن يفكر خلالها بالزواج بأي امرأة أخرى ، ومابين العشرين والخمسين من عُمْر الإنسان هو الزمن الذي تقوى فيه الدوافع لذلك ، لكن النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - لم يفكر في أن يضم إليها ـ رضي الله عنها ـ مثلها من النساء زوجة أو أَمَة ، ولو أراد لكان الكثير من النساء والإماء طوع بنانه ، وهو أمر طبيعي في هذه البيئة .
ومن ثم فكثرة زواج النبي ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ لم يكن بهدف التمتع وإشباع الشهوة ، وإن كان ذلك أمراً فطرياً سائغاً لا يعاب الإنسان به ، وقد كان ذلك سائداً بين العرب آنذاك ، وقد عَدَّد الأنبياء قبله ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ،

Muhammad b. 'Abdu-l-Wahhâb rahimahullah sagt, als er die Taten, die einen aus dem Islâm bringen, erwähnt:
"Das Helfen der Muschrikun (Polytheisten, Ungläubige) im Kampf gegen die Muslime; Beweis dafür sind die Worte des Erhabenen
…Und wer sie von euch zu Beschützern nimmt, der gehört wahrlich zu ihnen.
Wahrlich, Allah weist nicht dem Volk der Ungerechten den Weg.
Die ungefähre Übertragung der Surah Al-Māidāh, 5:51

An einer anderen Stelle sagt er (rahimuhullah)
"Der Mann kann kein Muslim sein, obwohl er die Einheit Gottes (Tauhīdullāh) anerkennt und den Schirk vermeidet, bis sich die Feindseligkeit und der Hass gegenüber den Muschrikûn nicht zum Vorschein kommt. Wie es der Erhabene (subhānā wā tā'ālā) sagt:
Du wirst kein Volk finden, das an Allâh und an den Jüngsten Tag glaubt und dabei diejenigen liebt, die sich Allâh und Seinem Gesandten widersetzen, selbst wenn es ihre Väter wären oder ihre Söhne oder ihre Brüder oder ihre Verwandten. Das sind diejenigen, in deren Herzen Allâh den Glauben eingeschrieben hat und die Er mit Seinem Sieg gestärkt hat. Er wird sie in Gärten führen, durch die Bäche fließen. Darin werden sie auf ewig weilen. Allâh ist wohl zufrieden mit ihnen, und sie sind wohl zufrieden mit Ihm. Sie sind Allâhs Partei. Wahrlich, Allâhs Partei ist die erfolgreiche.

لا يمكن لأحد أن يهرب من مصيره، ولا حتى الأسد
لن يستطيع الاسد أن يهرب من مصيره المحتوم بخدعة التخلي عن الاسلحة الكيميائية. فالعقاب الذي وعد به المجتمع الدولي لم يكن لامتلاك هذه الاسلحة، والدليل أنها موجودة منذ عقود من دون أي رد فعل دولي. التهديد بالعقاب جاء على جريمة أخرى، أعظم، هي استخدام هذا السلاح، حتى لو كان ضد السوريين الذين لا بواكي لهم ولا أحد يهتم بمصيره.
لن يصدق أحد نظاما لم يعد له أي مصداقية. لذلك على الأسد أن يعد نفسه لتجرع كأس السم واتخاذ القرار بالتخلي عن الحكم، وهو القرار الذي ينتظره الجميع مه، والذي قاد التردد فيه إلى دفع صاحبه للمهانة والخيانة في ذات الوقت. ولا نملك إلا أن نشجعه على ذلك ونؤكد له، كما يقول الشاعر
