    The Khilafah will supervise and support the private and state media to play a vital role in establishing the leadership of Islam in the entire world. The media is to present Islam strongly and effectively, and provoke the people to turn towards Islam and to study and think of it. It also facilitates the annexation of Muslim lands to the Khilafah state. The media will present the Islamic culture related to the various aspects of life so people are aware of these opinions and can apply them to their individual and collective lives. And it will expose the plans of the belligerent colonialist nations that have ravaged the globe, igniting and supporting wasteful civil wars and struggles to secure the control over countries as well as exploiting wealthy countries such that their people are drowned in poverty and despair. Internationally, the media will support the state's promotion of Islam as an intellectual leadership for all of humankind, a light of guidance for the people oppressed by man-made systems. Allah (swt) said, ((ادْعُ إِلِى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَـدِلْهُم بِالَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ)) "Invite to the way of your Lord with Evidence and Fair Exhortation and argue with them by that which is better." [Surah An-Nahl 16:125]

    Damit ihr eine Weiterbildung (Ausbildung; Realschulabschluss; Abitur etc) abschließen könnt.

    Ist es nicht Pflicht jedes Muslims nach dem Wissen zu Streben?

    Sebab-sebab terperinci Di antaranya: - Ribath (berjaga di pos perbatasan wilayah kaum muslimin) siang dan malam. Dari Fadhalah bin Ubaid radhiyallahu 'anhu, Rasulullah Shallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam bersabda: كُلُّ مَيِّتٍ يُخْتَمُ عَلَى عَمَلِهِ إِلَّا الَّذِي مَاتَ مُرَابِطًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُنْمَى لَهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَأْمَنُ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ "Setiap orang yang mati akan diakhiri/diputus amalannya, kecuali orang yang mati dalam keadaan ribath di jalan Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Amalannya akan dikembangkan sampai datang hari kiamat dan akan diselamatkan dari fitnah kubur." (HR. At-Tirmidzi dan Abu Dawud) - Mati syahid Dari Ubadah bin Ash-Shamit radhiyallahu 'anhu, dari Nabi Shallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam: لِلشَّهِيدِ عِنْدَ اللهِ سِتُّ خِصَالٍ: يُغْفَرُ لَهُ فِي أَوَّلِ دُفْعَةٍ مِنْ دَمِهِ، وَيُرَى مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَيُجَارُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَيَأْمَنُ مِنَ الْفَزَعِ الْأَكْبَرِ، وَيُحَلَّى حُلَّةَ الْإِيمَانِ وَيُزَوَّجُ مِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ، وَيُشَفَّعُ فِي سَبْعِينَ إِنْسَانًا مِنْ أَقَارِبِهِ "Orang yang mati syahid akan mendapatkan enam keutamaan di sisi Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala: diampuni dosa-dosanya dari awal tertumpahkan darahnya, akan melihat calon tempat tinggalnya di surga, akan diselamatkan dari adzab kubur, diberi keamanan dari ketakutan yang sangat besar, diberi hiasan dengan hiasan iman, dinikahkan dengan bidadari, dan akan diberi kemampuan untuk memberi syafaat kepada 70 orang kerabatnya." (HR. Ahmad, At-Tirmidzi, Ibnu Majah. Al-Albani berkata dalam Ahkamul Jana'iz bahwa sanadnya hasan) - Mati pada malam Jumat atau siang harinya. Dari Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'Ash radhiyallahu 'anhuma, dari Nabi Shallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam, beliau bersabda: مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يـَمُوتُ يَوْمَ الْـجُمُعَةِ أَوْ لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَّا وَقَاهُ اللهُ فِتْنَةَ الْقَبْرِ "Tidaklah seorang muslim meninggal pada hari Jumat atau malamnya, kecuali Allah akan melindunginya dari fitnah kubur." (HR. Ahmad dan Al-Fasawi. Asy-Syaikh Al-Albani mengatakan dalam Ahkamul Jana'iz bahwa hadits ini dengan seluruh jalur-jalurnya hasan atau shahih)

Imam Ahmad mengatakan: "Seandainya seorang lelaki mahu melamar seorang wanita, pertama-tama sekali hendaklah menanyakan kecantikannya. Jika dia memang cantik, hendaklah dia menanyakan tentang agamanya. Jika ternyata agamanya juga baik, maka silakanlah menikahinya. NAMUN, jika agamanya TIDAK BAIK, maka dia menolak wanita itu kerana agama bukan kerana persoalan cantik atau tidak." (ruj: Syarh Muntaha al-Iradah) 2. Cantik sememangnya subjektif pada mata yang berlainan dan citarasa yang berbeza. Cantik pada takrifan Nabi SAW: "Sebaik-baik wanita adalah yang jika engkau memandangnya membuatmu rasa senang, dan jika engkau menyuruhnya (akan sesuatu hal, nescaya) dia taat kepadamu." (HR Abu Dawuud dari Abu Hurairah) 3. Lebih baik yang tak cantik dari cantik andai agamanya tempang:- "Janganlah kamu berkahwin dengan perempuan kerana kecantikannya, barangkali kecantikannya itu akan memperhodohkannya. Janganlah kamu mengahwini perempuan kerana hartanya, kemungkinan kekayaannya itu akan menyebabkan derhaka. Akan tetapi kahwinlah dengan perempuan kerana agamanya. Sesungguhnya wanita yang tidak berhidung dan tuli tetapi beragama, itu adalah lebih baik bagimu." (Riwayat Abdullah bin Humaid). (y) #TAKE_NOTE (y)

    اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ (112:2) Allah, Who is in need of none and of Whom all are in need; *4 *4) The word used in the original is samad of which the root is smd. A look at the derivatives in Arabic from this root will show how comprehensive and vast this word is in meaning. (Lexical discussion of the meanings of the derivatives is omitted). On the basis of these lexical meanings the explanations of the word asSamad in the verse Allah-us-Samad, which have been reported from the Companions, their immediate successors and the later scholars are given below: Hadrat 'AIi. 'Ikrimah and Ka'b Ahbar: "Samad is he who has no superior. " Hadrat 'Abdullah bin Mas`ud, Hadrat `Abdullah bin `Abbas and Abu Wail Shaqiq bin Salamah: "The chieftain whose chieftancy is perfect and of the most extraordinary kind. " Another view of Ibn 'Abbas: "Samad is he to whom the people turn when afflicted with a calamity." Still another view of his: "The chieftain who in his chieftaincy, in his nobility and glory, in his clemency and forbearance,. in his knowledge and wisdom is perfect. " Hadrat Abu Hurairah: "He who is independent of all and all others are dependent upon him. " Other views of 'Ikrimah: "He from whom nothing ever has come out, nor normally comes out:" "Who neither eats nor drinks." Views containing the same meaning have been related from Sha'bi and Muhammad bin Ka'b al-Kurazi also. Suddi: "the one to whom the people turn for obtaining the things they need and for help in hardships. " Sa'id bin Jubair: "He who is perfect in all his attributes and works." Rabi' bin Jubair: "He who is immune form every calamity." Muqatil bin Hayyan: "He who is faultless." Ibn Kaysan: "He who is exclusive in his attributes." Hasan Basri and Qatadah: "He who is ever-living and immortal." Similar views have been related from Mujahid, Ma'mar and Murrat alHamadani also. Munat al-Hamadani's another view is : "he who decides whatever he wills and does whatever he wills, without there being anyone to revise his judgement and decision." Ibrahim Nakha'i: "He to whom the people turn for fulfilment of their desires." Abu Bakr al-Anbari "There is no difference of opinion among the lexicographers that samad is the chief who has no superior and to whom the people turn for fulfilment of their desires and needs and in connection with other affairs." Similar to it is the view of Az-Zajjjaj, who says "Samad is he in whom leadership has been perfected, and to whom one turns for fulfilment of one's needs and desires." Now, Iet us consider why Allahu-Ahad has been said in the first sentence and why Allah-us-Samad in this sentence. About the word ahad we have explained above that it is exclusively used for AIIah, and for none else. That is why it has been used as ahad, in the indefinite sense. But since the word samad is used for creatures also, Allall-us-Samad has been said instead of Allah Samad, which signifies that real and true Samad is Allah alone. If a creature is samad in one sense, it may not be samad in some other sense, for it is mortal, not immortal; it is analysable and divisible, is compound, its parts can scatter away any time; some creatures are dependent upon it, and upon others it is dependent; its chieftaincy is relative and not absolute; it is superior to certain things and certain other things are superior to it; it can fulfil some desires of some creatures but it is not in the power of any creature to fulfil all the desires of all the creatures, On the contrary, Allah is perfect in His attributes of Samad in every respect; the whole world is dependent upon Hun in its needs, but He is ,not dependent upon needs; everything in the world turns to Him, consciously or unconsciously, for its survival and for fulfilment of the needs of everyone; He is immortal and Ever-living; He sustains others and is not sustained by anyone; He is Single and Unique, not compound so as to be analysable and divisible; His sovereignty prevails over entire universe and - He is Supreme in every sense. Therefore, He is not only .Samad but As-Samad, i e. the Only and One Being Who is wholly and perfectly qualified with the attribute of samad in the true sense. Then, since He is As-Samad, it is necessary that He should be Unique, One and Only, for such a being can only be One, which is not dependent upon anyone and upon whom everyone else may be dependent; two or more beings cannot be self-sufficient and fulfillers of the needs of all. Furthermore, His being As-samad also requires that He alone should be the Deity, none else, for no sensible person would worship and serve the one who had no power and authority to fulfil the needs of others.

    Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar dilahirkan pada hari Jum'at legi tanggal 17 Agustus 1945 jam 02.00 malam, yang keesokan harinya bertepatan dengan hari kemerdekaan Negara Republik Indonesia yang diproklamirkan oleh Presiden Soekarno dan Dr. Muhammad Hatta. Tempat kelahiran beliau adalah di Dukuh Nepen Desa Krecek kecamatan Pare Kediri Jawa Timur. Sebelum berangkat ibadah haji, nama beliau adalah Muhammad Bahri, putra bungsu dari bapak Muhammad Ishaq. Meskipun dilahirkan dalam keadaan miskin harta benda, namun mulia dalam hal keturunan. Dari sang ayah, beliau mengaku masih keturunan Sultan Hasanudin bin Sunan Gunung Jati, dan dari sang ibu beliau mengaku masih keturunan KH Hasan Besari Tegal Sari Ponorogo Jawa Timur yang juga masih keturunan Sunan Kalijogo. Pada masa kecil Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar dididik oleh ayahanda sendiri dengan disiplin pendidikan yang ketat dan sangat keras. Diantaranya adalah menghafal kitab taqrib dan maknanya dan mempelajari tafsir Al-Qur'an baik ma'na maupun nasakh mansukhnya. Masih diantara kedisiplinan ayah beliau dalam mendidik adalah : Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar tidak diperkenankan berteman dengan anak-anak tetangga dengan tujuan supaya Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar tidak mengikuit kebiasaan yang tidak baik yang dilakukan oleh anak-anak tetangga. Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar dilarang merokok dan menonton hiburan seperti orkes, Wayang, ludruk dll, dan tidak pula boleh meminum kopi dan makan diwarung. Pada usia 11 tahun Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar sudah mengkhatamkan Al-Qur'an semua itu berkat kegigihan dan disiplin ayah beliau dalam mendidik dan membimbing. Orang tua Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar memang terkenal cinta kepada para alim ulama terutama mereka yang memiliki barakah dan karamah. Ayah beliau berpesan kepada Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar agar selalu menghormati para ulama. Jika sowan (berkunjung) kepada para ulama supaya selalu memberi uang atau jajan (oleh-oleh). Pesan ayahanda tersebut dilaksanakan oleh beliau, dan semua ulama yang pernah diambil manfaat ilmunya mulai dari Kyai Syufa'at Blok Agung Banyuwangi hingga KH. Dimyathi Pandegelang Banten, semuanya pernah diberi uang atau jajan oleh Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar. Sebenarnya, Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar pernah menganut faham wahabi bahkan sampai menduduki posisi wakil ketua Majlis Tarjih Wahabi Kaliwungu. Adapun beberapa hal yang menyebabkan Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar pindah dari faham wahabi dan menganut faham ahlussunah diantaranya adalah sebagai berikut : 1. Beliau pernah bermimpi bertemu dengan kakek beliau yaitu KH. AbduLlah Sakin yang wafat pada tahun 1918 M, beliau berwasiyat kepada Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar bahwa yang benar adalah faham ahlussunah. 2. Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar pernah bertemu dengan KH Yasin bin ma'ruf kedunglo kediri, pertemuan itu terjadi di warung / rumah makan Pondol Pesantren Lirboyo Kediri yang berkata kepada Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar bahwa Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar kelak akan menjadi seorang ulama yang banyak tamunya. Dan ucapan KH Yasin tersebut terbukti, beliau setiap hari menerima banyak tamu. 3. Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar pernah berjumpa dengan Sayyid Ma'sum badung Madura yang memberi wasiyat bahwa kelak Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar banyak santrinya yang berasal dari jauh. Dan hal itu juga terbukti. 4. Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar bertemu dengan KH Hamid AbdiLlah Pasuruan, beliau berkata bahwa kelak Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar akan dapat melaksanakan ibadah haji dan menjadi ulama yang kaya. Dan terbukti beliau sampai ibadah haji sebanyak lima kali dan begitu juga para putera beliau. Hal tersebutlah yang menyebabkan Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar menganut faham ahlussunah karena beliau merasa heran dan ta'jub kepada para ulama ahlussunah seperti tersebut di atas yang dapat mengetahui hal-hal rahasia ghaib dan ulama yang demikian ini tidak dijumpainya pada ulama-ulama golongan wahabi. Dalam menghadapi setiap cobaan yang menimpa, Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar memilih satu jalan yaitu mendatangi ulama. Adapun beberapa ulama yang dimintai do'a dan barokah oleh beliau diantaranya adalah : 1. KH. Syufa'at Blok Agung Banyuwangi. 2. KH. Hayatul Maki Bendo Pare Kediri. 3. KH. Marzuki Lirboyo Kediri. 4. KH. Dalhar Watu Congol Magelang. 5. KH. Khudlori Tegal Rejo Magelang. 6. KH. Dimyathi Pandegrlang Banten. 7. KH. Ru'yat Kaliwungu. 8. KH. Ma'sum Lasem. 9. KH. Baidhawi Lasem. 10. KH. Masduqi Lasem. 11. KH. Imam Sarang. 12. KH. Kholil Sidogiri. 13. KH Abdul Hamid AbdiLlah Pasuruan. Selesai beliau mendatangi para ulama, maka ilmu yang didapat dari mereka beliau kumpulkan dalam sebuah kitab "Jawahirul Hikmah". Kemudian beliau mengembara ke makam – makam para wali mulai dari Banyuwangi sampai Banten hingga Madura. Sewaktu beliau berziarah ke makam Syaikh Kholil Bangkalan Madura, Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar bertemu dengan Sayyid Syarifuddin yang mengaku masih keturunan Syaikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani RA. Kemudian Sayyid Syarifuddin memberikan ijazah kepada Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar berupa amalan 'MANAKIB JAWAHIRUL MA'ANY' dimana amalan manakib Jawahirul Ma'any tersebut saat ini tersebar luas di seluruh Indonesia karena banyak Fadhilahnya , bahkan sampai ke negara asing seperti Malaysia, Singapura, Brunei Darussalam, Pakistan, tanzania, Afrika, Nederland, dll. Syaikh Ahmad Jauhari Umar pernah mengalami masa-masa yang sulit dalam segala hal. Bahkan ketika putera beliau masih berada di dalam kandungan, beliau diusir oleh keluarga isteri

    The Brief History of Social Media BEFORE THE DAWN 1969 CompuServe was the first major commercial Internet service provider for the public in the United States. Using a technology known then as dial-up, it dominated the field through the 1980s and remained a major player until the mid-1990s. 1971 The first email was delivered. 1978 Two Chicago computer hobbyists invented the bulletin board system (BBS) to inform friends of meetings, make announcements and share information through postings. It was the rudimentary beginning of a small virtual community. Trolling and flame wars began. 1979 Usenet was an early bulletin board that connected Duke University and the University of North Carolina. 1984 The Prodigy online service was introduced. Later, it grew to become the second-largest online service provider in 1990, with 465,000 subscribers compared with CompuServe's 600,000. In 1994, Prodigy pioneered sales of dial-up connections to the World Wide Web and hosting services for Web publishers. Subsequently, it was resold repeatedly and now is part of AT&T. 1985 The America Online (AOL) service opened. 1989 British engineer Tim Berners-Lee began work at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research, in Switzerland), on what was to become the World Wide Web. 1992 Tripod opened as a community online for college students and young adults. 1993 CERN donated the WWW technology to the world. Apple started selling iPods. 2002 Friendster, a social networking website, was opened to the public in the U.S. and grew to 3 million users in three months. AOL had 34 million members. 2003 MySpace. another social networking website, was launched as a clone of Friendster. Linden Lab opened the virtual world Second Life on the Internet. LinkedIn was started as a business-oriented social networking site for professionals. There were more than 3 billion Web pages. Apple introduced the online music service iTunes. 2004 Facebook, another social networking website, was started for students at Harvard College. It was referred to at the time as a college version of Friendster. MySpace surpassed Friendster in page views. Podcasting began on the Internet. Flickr image hosting website opened. Digg was founded as a social news website where people shared stories found across the Internet. AFTER THE DAWN 2005 Bebo, an acronym for Blog Early, Blog Often, was started as another social networking website. News Corporation, a global media company founded by Rupert Murdoch, with holdings in film, television, cable, magazines, newspapers and book publishing, purchased MySpace. Facebook launched a version for high school students. Friends Reunited, now with 15 million members, was sold to the British television company ITV. YouTube began storing and retrieving videos. There were more than 8 billion Web pages. 2006 MySpace was the most popular social networking site in the U.S. However, based on monthly unique visitors, Facebook would take away that lead later, in 2008. Twitter was launched as a social networking and microblogging site, enabling members to send and receive 140-character messages called tweets. Facebook membership was expanded and opened to anyone over age 13. Google had indexed more than 25 billion web pages, 400 million queries per day, 1.3 billion images, and more than a billion Usenet messages. 2007 Microsoft bought a stake in Facebook. Facebook initiated Facebook Platform which let third-party developers create applications (apps) for the site. Facebook launched its Beacon advertising system, which exposed user purchasing activity. Beacon sent data from external websites to Facebook so targeted advertisements could be presented. The civic action group MoveOn.org and many others protested it as an invasion of privacy. Beacon was shut down in 2009. Apple released the iPhone multimedia and Internet smartphone. 2008 Facebook surpassed MySpace in the total number of monthly unique visitors. Meanwhile, Facebook tried unsuccessfully to buy Twitter. Bebo was purchased by AOL. Later, AOL would re-sell the relatively-unsuccessful social media site. 2009 Facebook ranked as the most-used social network worldwide with more than 200 million. The site's traffic was twice that of MySpace. Citizen journalists everywhere were electrified when Twitter broke a hard news story about a plane crash in the Hudson River. The New York Times later reported a user on a ferry had sent a tweet, "There's a plane in the Hudson. I'm on the ferry going to pick up the people. Crazy." Unfriend was the New Oxford American Dictionary word of the year. Microsoft's Bing joined Yahoo and Google as major search engines on the Internet. ITV sold the relatively-unsuccessful Friends Reunited social media site to Brightsolid Limited. It's estimated that a quarter of Earth's population used the Internet. Google saw one trillion unique URLs – after eliminating duplicate entries. The Internet had at least 27 billion web pages and could have had as many as 58 billion web pages. They changed so many times a day it was nearly impossible to count. 2010 Facebook's rapid growth moved it above 400 million users, while MySpace users declined to 57 million users, down from a peak of about 75 million. To compete with Facebook and Twitter, Google launched Buzz, a social networking site integrated with the company's Gmail. It was reported that in the first week, millions of Gmail users created 9 million posts. Apple released the iPad tablet computer with advanced multimedia and Internet capabilities. AOL sold the relatively-unsuccessful Bebo social media site to Criterion Capital Partners. The Democratic National Committee advertised for a social networks manager to oversee President Barack Obama's accounts on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. It was estimated the population of Internet users was 1.97 billion. That was almost 30 percent of the global population. The Internet had surpassed newspapers as a primary way for Americans to get news, according to the Pew Internet and American Life Project. The Internet was the third most popular news platform, with many users looking to social media and personalized feeds for news. National and local TV stations were strong, but the Internet was ahead of national and local newspapers. 2011 Social media were accessible from virtually anywhere and had become an integral part of our daily lives with more than 550 million people on Facebook, 65 million tweets sent through Twitter each day, and 2 billion video views every day on YouTube. LinkedIn has 90 million professional users. Social media commerce was on the rise along with mobile social media via smartphones and tablet computers. Public sharing of so much personal information via social media sites raised concern over privacy. Apple introduced the Ping social network for music and integrated with iTunes. Both MySpace and Bebo were redesigned and updated to compete with the far more successful social networks Facebook and Twitter. It was estimated Internet users would double by 2015 to a global total of some four billion users, or nearly 60 percent of Earth's population. 2012 Ever more people are connecting to the Internet for longer periods of time. Some 2 billion people around the world use the Internet and social media, while 213 million Americans use the Internet via computers while 52 million use the Web via smartphone and 55 million use it via tablets. People also connect to the Internet via handheld music players, game consoles, Internet-enabled TVs and e-readers. It is estimated Internet users would double by 2015 to a global total of some four billion users, or nearly 60 percent of Earth's population. Social media has come of age with more people using smartphones and tables to access social networks. New sites emerge and catch on. The top ten social networks are Facebook, Blogger, Twitter, Wordpress, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+, Tumblr, MySpace and Wikia. More than half of adults 25-34 use social media at the office. Almost a third of young adults 18-24 use social media in the bathroom. All use social networks to stay connected with acquaintances, be informed and be amused. Advertisers look to social "likes" to enhance brand visibility. Facebook reached a billion users in 2012. YouTube has more than 800 million users each month with more than 1 trillion views per year or around 140 views for every person on Earth. Seventy percent of YouTube traffic comes from outside the U.S. YouTube is local in 43 countries and uses 60 languages. Some 72 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute with more than 4 billion hours of video watched each month on YouTube. Apple closed the Ping social network in 2012 and improved iTunes. Public sharing of so much personal information via social media continues to elevate privacy concerns. 2013 YouTube topped one billion monthly users with 4 billion views per day, and launched paid channels to provide content creators with a means of earning revenue. Facebook user total climbed to 1.11 billion. Twitter had 500 million registered users, with more than 200 million active. Apple's customers have downloaded over 50 billion apps and the company again improved iTunes, even as iPads were revolutionizing social games. Yahoo purchased Tumblr blogging-social media network, with 170 million users and 100 million blogs. Flickr had 87 million users and stored 8 billion photos, while Instagram had 100 million users storing 4 billion photos. LinkedIn had 225 million users, while MySpace had 25 million users. Pinterest had 48.7 million users, while WordPress hosted 74 million blogs. Dropbox had more than 100 million users with 1 billion files uploaded daily. Google+ had 343 million users. Reddit had 69.9 million monthly users, with 4.8 billion monthly page views. The People's Liberation Army of China and the Syrian Electronic Army rose among the gaggle of infamous hackers. Privacy concerns continued over public sharing of personal information on social networks. There were 156 million blogs. Blogs, online videos and podcasts continue to be staples for marketers. An Australian survey found 34 percent of social network users logged on at work, 13 percent at school, and 18 percent in the car, while 44 percent used social networks in bed, 7 percent in the bathroom, and 6 percent in the toilet. Astronauts aboard the International Space Station regularly tweeted live from space to a global audience.

    WZB-Studie zeigt auffallend hohe Werte unter Europas Muslimen. Religiöser Fundamentalismus unter Muslimen ist in Westeuropa kein Randphänomen. Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt Migrationsforscher Ruud Koopmans vom Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung (WZB) in seiner Auswertung einer repräsentativen Befragung von Einwanderern und Einheimischen in sechs europäischen Ländern.
     
    Zwei Drittel der befragten Muslime halten demnach religiöse Gesetze für wichtiger als die Gesetze des Landes, in dem sie leben. Drei Viertel von ihnen finden, es gebe nur eine mögliche Auslegung des Korans.
