    Abu Huraira (RadiAllāhu 'anhu) berichtete, dass der Gesandte Allāhs (SallAllāhu 'alayhi wa Sallam) folgendes über seinen Herrn, Dem Allmächtigen und Erhabenen berichtete:
    "Ein Diener Allāhs beging eine Sünde und sagte: "O Herr, ich habe eine Sünde begangen, so vergib sie mir."
    Der Hocherhabene sprach:
    "Mein Diener hat eine Sünde begangen und wusste, dass er einen Herrn hat, Der die Sünden vergibt und auch wegen dieser bestraft."
    Zum wiederholten Mal beging er eine Sünde und sagte: "O Herr, vergib mir meine Sünde."
    Der Hocherhabene sprach: "Mein Diener hat eine Sünde begangen und wusste, dass er einen Herrn hat, Der die Sünden vergibt und auch wegen dieser bestraft."
    Er beging wieder eine Sünde und sagte: "O Herr, vergib mir meine Sünde."

Alguns compartilham a opinião de que o Islã ordena que os muçulmanos combatam o mundo até que todos se tornem muçulmanos e criam sentimentos ruins, sem de fato saberem o que a religião realmente diz a esse respeito, quanto mais sobre a existência de não-muçulmanos em um país islâmico. Em termos de residência em uma sociedade islâmica, os não-muçulmanos são classificados em três tipos. Entender esses tipos aprofundará a compreensão da relação entre muçulmanos e pessoas de outras crenças em uma sociedade islâmica: Classificação de Não-Muçulmanos A. Residentes Permanentes Os juristas muçulmanos usam o termo "Povo da Aliança" (em árabe "dhimmi" ou "Ahl ul-Dhimma") para se referirem aos residentes não-muçulmanos. Não é um termo pejorativo, como alguns deram a entender. Na língua árabe a palavra "dhimma" significa um tratado de proteção para não-muçulmanos que vivem em território muçulmano. Um termo semelhante, "Ahl ul-Dhimma", significa "Povo da Aliança", porque são protegidos sob a aliança que lhes foi estendida pelo profeta Muhammad e os muçulmanos.[1] Os não-muçulmanos têm garantia de proteção na sociedade muçulmana desde que paguem um tributo e sejam leais às legislações específicas mencionadas na Lei Islâmica. Essa aliança de proteção não está limitada a uma duração específica. Fica em efeito pelo tempo que aqueles com quem a aliança foi feita forem leais às suas condições.[2] A boa intenção por trás do termo "dhimmi" pode ser vista na carta escrita pelo califa Abu Bakr as-Siddiq[3] aos não-muçulmanos de Najran: "Em nome de Deus, o Beneficente, o Misericordioso. Essa é a declaração escrita do servo de Deus Abu Bakr, o sucessor de Muhammad, o profeta e mensageiro de Deus. Ele lhes afirma os direitos de um vizinho protegido, em vocês mesmos, suas terras, suas comunidades religiosas, seus bens, seus servos, aqueles que estão presentes ou no exterior, seus bispos e monges e monastérios e tudo que possuem, pouco ou muito. Não devem ser privados de qualquer uma dessas coisas e devem ter pleno controle sobre elas..." [4] Outro exemplo é a declaração de um famoso sábio clássico do Islã, Imame Awza'i[5] em sua carta ao governador abássida Salih b. Ali b. Abdullah sobre o Povo da Aliança: "Eles não são servos e, por isso, tenha cuidado para não trocar sua condição após terem vivido na liberdade. São livres Povo da Aliança." [6] Reconhecendo esse fato, Ron Landau escreveu: "Em contraste ao Império Cristão, que tentou impor o Cristianismo aos seus súditos, os árabes estenderam o reconhecimento às minorias religiosas e aceitaram sua presença. Judeus, cristãos e zoroastrianos eram conhecidos por eles como Povo da Aliança. Em outras palavras, as nações que desfrutavam de uma condição protegida." [7] B. Residentes Temporários Essa categoria inclui dois tipos: 1) Os residentes de países não-muçulmanos que estão em paz com os muçulmanos através de tratados de paz específicos, tratados internacionais ou outros mecanismos, que temporariamente vêm para países muçulmanos para trabalhar, estudar, negócios, missões diplomáticas e assim por diante. Os juristas muçulmanos se referem a eles em árabe como mu'aahadoon, que significa "aqueles com quem existe um pacto." 2) Os residentes de países não-muçulmanos com quem os muçulmanos não têm um pacto de paz ou que podem estar em guerra com muçulmanos, que temporariamente vê aos países muçulmanos para trabalhar, estudar, negócios, missões diplomáticas e assim por diante. Os juristas muçulmanos se referem a eles em árabe como musta'minoon, que significa "em busca de proteção." Todas as categorias têm os direitos gerais comuns a elas e direitos exclusivos específicos para cada grupo. Se estudarmos e compararmos a Declaração Universal de Direitos Humanos aos direitos humanos concedidos pelo Islã 1.400 anos atrás, pode-se ver claramente o nível de alto base moral alcançada pelo Islã antes da Declaração Universal. [9] Esse padrão moral não resultou de empenho intelectual humano. A fonte da moralidade islâmica é Deus. O padrão divino fornece abrangência e profundidade verdadeiras nas necessidades humanas. Faz provisões para tudo que beneficia a raça humana e a protege de qualquer mal. Estudo objetivo provavelmente levará à conclusão que "não existe religião ou código moral na terra que tenha dado atenção mais generosa à afirmação fiel desses direitos do que o Islã, detalhando-os, clarificando-os e expressando-os." [10] A Charia, que é o código legal e moral do Islã, não se limita a dar direitos somente aos muçulmanos. Uma de suas características distintas é que o não-muçulmano compartilha muitos desses direitos. De fato, o princípio geral é que os não-muçulmanos têm os mesmos direitos e obrigações dos muçulmanos.[11] Esse aspecto da religião é único do Islã e talvez não tenha sido atingido por qualquer outra religião do mundo. Se olharmos para o Cristianismo, por exemplo, o Professor Joseph Heath da Universidade de Toronto diz: "É desnecessário dizer que se pode percorrer a Bíblia e não encontrar uma única menção a "direitos". Também se pode procurar nos 1.500 anos seguintes de pensamento cristão sem encontrar quaisquer direitos. Isso é porque a idéia é inteiramente ausente."[12] Os não-muçulmanos têm muitos direitos no Islã. Limitaremos nossa discussão aos mais importantes deles, como a liberdade de crença, direito ao trabalho, moradia, liberdade de movimento e educação.

With the birth of the modern age, however, marked with religious tolerance and freedom of thought, there has been a great change in the approach of Western authors in their delineation of his life and character. The views of some non-Muslim scholars regarding Prophet Muhammad, given at the end, justify this opinion. The West has still to go a step forward to discover the greatest reality about Muhammad, and that is his being the true and last Prophet of God for all of humanity. In spite of all its objectivity and enlightenment here has been no sincere and objective attempt by the West to understand the Prophethood of Muhammad. It is so strange that very glowing tributes are paid to him for his integrity and achievement, but his claim of being the Prophet of God has been rejected explicitly and implicitly. It is here that a searching of the heart is required, and a review if the so-called objectivity is needed. The following glaring facts from the life of Muhammad have been furnished to facilitate an unbiased, logical and objective decision regarding his Prophethood. Up to the age of forty, Muhammad was not known as a statesman, a preacher or an orator. He was never seen discussing the principles of metaphysics, ethics, law, politics, economics or sociology. No doubt he possessed an excellent character, charming manners and was highly cultured. Yet there was nothing so deeply striking and so radically extraordinary in him that would make men expect something great and revolutionary from him in the future. But when he came out from the Cave of Hira with a new message, he was completely transformed. Is it possible for such a person of the above qualities to turn all of a sudden into 'an imposter' and claim to be the Prophet of God and thus invite the rage of his people? One might ask, for what reason did he suffer all the hardships imposed on him? His people offered to accept him as their king and to lay all the riches of the land at his feet if only he would leave the preaching of his religion. But he chose to refuse their tempting offers and go on preaching his religion single-handedly in the face of all kinds of insults, social boycott and even physical assault by his own people. Was it not only God's support and his firm will to disseminate the message of God and his deep-rooted belief that ultimately Islam would emerge as the only way of life for humanity, that he stood like a mountain in the face of all opposition and conspiracies to eliminate him? Furthermore, had he come with a design of rivalry with the Christians and the Jews, why should he have made belief in Jesus and Moses and other Prophets of God, peace be upon them, a basic requirement of faith without which no one could be a Muslim? Is it not an incontrovertible proof of his Prophethood that in spite of being unlettered and having led a very normal and quiet life for forty years, when he began preaching his message, all of Arabia stood in awe and wonder at his wonderful eloquence and oratory? It was so matchless that the whole legion of Arab poets, preachers and orators of the highest caliber failed to bring forth its equivalent. And above all, how could he then pronounce truths of a scientific nature contained in the Quran that no human being could possibly have developed at that time? Last but not least, why did he lead a hard life, even after gaining power and authority? Just ponder over the words he uttered while dying: "We, the community of the Prophets, are not inherited. Whatever we leave behind is for charity." As a matter of fact, Muhammad is the last link of the chain of Prophets sent in different lands and times since the beginning of human life on this planet.     Seorang penceramah mengadakan permainan kecil kepada tetamu di dewan yang sudah berkeluarga dan meminta 1 orang datang ke depan.
    PENCERAMAH: "Tulis 10 nama yang paling rapat dengan anda"
    Lalu lelaki tersebut menuliskan 10 nama, ada nama jiran, orang tua, teman kerja, sahabat, anak dan juga isterinya serta seterusnya.
    PENCERAMAH: "Sekarang sila pilih 7 di antaranya anda ingin hidup terus bersamanya"

    Lelaki itu memadam 3 nama yang ditulisnya tadi.

    PENCERAMAH: "Sekarang hapuskan 2 nama lagi, sehingga tinggal 5 nama sahaja di papan tersebut..."

    PENCERAMAH : "Hapus 2 nama lagi..."
    Maka tinggal 3 nama, iaitu nama orang tua, anak dan isterinya.
    Suasana dewan menjadi hening, mereka berfikir semua sudah selesai dan tak ada lagi yang harus dipilih.
    Tiba-tiba PENCERAMAH berkata: "Silakan padam 1 nama lagi!"
    Lelaki itu dengan perlahan-lahan mengambil keputusan yang sulit dan menghapus nama orang tuanya.

    PENCERAMAH : "Silakan pilih 1 nama lagi!"

    Lelaki tersebut menjadi bingung. Kemudian mengangkat kapur dan dengan berat hati mulai menghapus nama anaknya dan lelaki itu pun menangis.

    Setelah suasana tenang,
    PENCERAMAH bertanya kepada lelaki itu, "kenapa kau tidak memilih orang tuamu yang telah melahirkan dan membesarkanmu, tidak juga memilih anak yang darah daging anda sendiri, sedangkan isteri itu dapat kau cari lagi?"
    Semua orang di dalam dewan tersebut terpaku menunggu jawapan dari lelaki tersebut.

    Lalu lelaki itu menjawab:
    "Seiring waktu berlalu, orang tua saya akan pergi meninggalkan saya, manakala anak jika sudah dewasa akan berkahwin, dan juga pasti akan meninggalkan saya. Sedangkan yang benar-benar boleh menemani saya dalam hidup ini hanyalah ISTERI saya. Orang tua dan anak bukan saya yang memilih, tapi Tuhan yang menganugerahkannya. Sedangkan ISTERI, sayalah yang memilih dari sekian banyak wanita yang ada di dunia ini."
    Semoga kita semua boleh mengambil hikmah dari cerita diatas. Sayangilah isteri2 anda..
