Syria: Terrorist Attacks Leave Trail of Death, Amounting to 50 Civilians
A trail of death was left in the wake of terrorist mortar and car bomb attacks that hit Damascus and Homs on Tuesday, causing a death toll of 50, in addition to scores of wounded.Damascus attack
A car bomb blast rocked the city of Homs, claiming the lives of 36 civilians, mostly women and children, according to a source in the province.
The source told SANA reporter that the bombing, which took place near the heavily-trafficked al-Abassiyeh intersection, injured 85 others.
Terrorists' mortars continued to rain down on Damascus as four rounds hit al-Shaghour neighborhood, two of which smashed into Badr-Eddin al-Hossni Institute for Islamic Sharia Sciences, killing 14 civilians, a Police Command source told SANA.
86 others, mostly students, were reported wounded in the attack.
The other two rounds landed in the surrounding of the Institute, hurting no one.
The source added that terrorists targeted al-Abassiyeen area with 9 mortar shells which landed in the surrounding of al-Abassiyeen Stadium, injuring 8 other civilians.
Minister of Health Saad al-Nayef paid a visit to the injured in Damascus Hospital and stressed that medical cadres were mobilized to provide emergency and rescue services to the injured as soon as possible.
He told reporters that he directed medical teams to meet all the needs of the injured until they recover and become able to leave hospital.
Hospital Director Adib Mahmoud said bodies of 14 people were admitted to the hospital, in addition to 80 injured.
He noted that 9 of the wounded people are undergoing surgeries.
Meanwhile, Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed condemned the attack on Badr-Eddin al-Hossni Institute for Islamic Sharia Sciences as targeting the true Islam and noble values.
In mid-April, similar mortar attacks targeted al-Manar basic education school in Bab Touma quarter and a school compound near St. Elias Church in al-Dweil'eh area, leaving a child dead and 60 others injured.
Terrorist groups intensified their mortar attacks and bombings recently as they have been reeling after steady gains made by the Syrian army in various areas. Scores of civilians, including children and women, were killed in those attacks.

Israel Army Destroys Mosque, Church as Christians Threatened
A mosque was among several Palestinian structures destroyed by the Israeli army Tuesday in a West Bank village for having been built withou.t permits, concurring sources said.
The Israeli army destroyed mosque and a church in the occupied territories in the latest of a string of racist attacks.
Separately, an Israeli man threatened the Roman Catholic bishop of Nazareth and demanded that Catholics leave the country or face God's wrath.
Tabgha church, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, was also vandalized by the Israelis.

Syria: Army Eliminates Terrorist Groups, Obliterates Their Weaponry
The Syrian army units continued operations against theSyrian Army armed terrorist groups in many provinces on Tuesday, killing large numbers of terrorists and destroying their hideouts, gatherings and weaponry.
SANA reporter said that the army units carried out a series of operations against terrorists' dens and gatherings in the northern farms of al-Mleiha town, killing and injuring scores of them, in addition to destroying their weapons and ammunition.
Other army units destroyed terrorists' dens and gatherings in Zamalka and Erbin towns in the countryside.
Meanwhile, an army unit inflict heavy losses upon terrorists in Aliyeh farms in Douma area.
In the same context, the army units clashed with terrorists in Jobar neighborhood, eliminating scores of them and injuring others, in addition to destroying their equipment.
A military source told SANA that the army continued pursuing the terrorist groups in the areas of al-Ramouseh, al-Amryeh and al-Rashedeen in Aleppo's old city, killing 4 of them and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
The source added that the army clashed with terrorists and targeted their gatherings in the areas of Darat Izza, Hreitan, Handarat, al-Jbeila, Tal Jabeen, Indan, al-Atareb, al-Mansoura, Kweires, Rasm al-Abboud, al-Jadeda, Izzaz, the Industrial Zone, near Aleppo Central Prison, al-Sukkari, al-Amryeh, Bustan al-Qasr, Hanano and al-Sakan al-Shababi, killing and injuring huge numbers of terrorists and destroying their vehicles and weaponry.
A military source told SANA that the army units targeted terrorists' gatherings in the neighborhoods of al-Qarabees, al-Hamedyeh, Bab hood and Jorat al-Shayyah in Homs city, killing and injuring scores of terrorists, among them were terrorists' leaders.
The source added that the army killed and injured members of two terrorist groups in the areas of al-Dar al-Kabira, al-Amryeh and al-Saan in Homs countryside.
An army unit clashed with terrorists who tried to attack a military checkpoint on Homs-Palmyra highway and killed and injured many of the assailants.
The army units clashed with armed terrorist group in the area between Sasa' and Tal al-Shahim villages in Quneitra countryside.
A military source told SANA that the army killed all of the group's members and seized their weapons and ammunition.

• Western diplomatic and political high echelons have expressed they are convinced that President Bashar Asad will be re-elected again to the office especially after the recent developments on both military and political levels.
• Takfiri groups in different parts of Syria, especially Homs and Aleppo, have sent many signals and messages expressing intent to leave the areas providing that they keep their weapons with them. The Syrian official authorities refused the request and started a large scale offensive which caused heavy losses among the takfiri groups.
• It is sure that the Lebanese parliament will not be able to elect a new head of the state in its session this week, nor it is expected to do so in months. Sources following up the event reflected pessimism and expected months to pass before any possibility to have a new president.

Syria militants to forge professional army with US missiles
A militants group 'chosen' for receiving advanced weapons from the United States is planning to form a new professional army that could fight better in a three-year-old war that has already killed thousands of people.
The Washington Post writes in a report that a young militant from recently formed Harakat Hazm armed group, named Abdullah Awda, and his followers were chosen to receive the weapons because of 'their moderate views'.
US authorities have been trying to justify officially sending weapons to Syria militants and helping them change the government. They have been talking of 'moderate groups' that could be trusted with advanced weapons, but what Syria's war has hardly shown a sign of, is moderation.
The report says Awda's group is based across rocky, forested wilderness in the northern province of Idlib.
It adds Obama administration has been worried to choose between thousands of militant groups to deliver its advanced arms to, "But the arrival at the base last month of US-made TOW antitank missiles, the first advanced American weaponry to be dispatched to Syria since the conflict began, has reignited long-abandoned hopes among the rebels that the Obama administration is preparing to soften its resistance to the provision of significant military aid".
However the report plays down importance of the delivery which is actually sending arms to topple Syria's legitimate government, by saying that the BGM-71 missiles, are few in number and "about two decades old" and hardly better than what the militants already have; and the rebels say it won't change the balance in their favor.
However, the shipment "is an important first step," Awda said during the first visit to his base by a journalist since the missiles arrived.
The weapons were not directly provided by the United States.
"Friends of Syria" delivered them, he said, referring to the US-backed alliance of Western powers and Persian Gulf Arab states established to support the war.
Awda declined to offer further details of the provenance of the missiles. But he said the donors made clear to him that the delivery had US approval, and US officials have confirmed that they endorsed the supply.
"The most important thing is not the TOW missile itself, it's the change in the policy," he said.
The US has been supporting the extremist-marked war in Syria, even with loss of thousands of lives.
CIA operatives have been training militant groups in Jordan since the war escalated in Syria; US allies have been giving support to infiltrate more forces and weapons to the war and the Obama administration was steps away from bombing the crisis-hit country over conflicting reports of a chemical attack in August last year.
US and its Western allies have engineered slapping hard sanctions to the government in Syria, while letting flow of weapons pouring at the hands of what is said to be opposition.
This is while reports say hundreds of foreign nationals are fighting in Syria, and there are many al-Qaeda-affiliates and radical groups with same views of the terrorist group, killing Syrian soldiers and people.
On Tuesday the New York-based Human Rights Watch asked the UN Security Council to help stop flow of more arms to the extensive war.
The group said UNSC should impose an arms embargo on "any groups implicated in widespread or systematic human rights abuses."

Many Saudis wish to leave Syria's war but they are afraid
A Saudi former militant, fighting for the al-Qaeda-affiliated militant group Ahrar al-Sham says many of the Saudi nationals who joined the war in Syria are willing to retreat, but they are afraid of repercussions.
In an exclusive interview with Arabic-language MBC television network, the Saudi national, identified as Mosfir, spoke of torture threats he faced from militant groups operating inside Syria if he had wished to shun foreign-sponsored militancy in Syria and return home.
Mosfir said a large number of Saudi citizens fighting alongside militant groups against the Syrian government and national army are willing to return home, but they are afraid of possible arrest and reprisal.
He assumed that Saudi militants would eventually return to the kingdom irrespective of threats made against them.
The Saudi national went on to say that he was following Syria development on online social network Twitter, where Salafist cleric Sheikh Adnan al-Arour was encouraging the Arab youth to join militants in Syria.
He said Arour's words impressed him, encouraging him to set off to Syria, where he witnessed horrendous scenes upon arrival and later immoral practices by Ahrar al-Sham radical group, of which he was a member.
Mosfir also highlighted that Saudi members of rival al-Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and al-Nusra Front militant groups are fighting each other in Syria's conflict.
He said he decided to renounce militancy and return home after hearing her mother's appeal for his return in a video posted on YouTube.
Saudi Arabia's newspaper Al Watan said in a recent report that some 1,400 Saudi Arabian citizens have joined foreign-backed militant groups which are fighting to topple the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The report added that most Saudi militants, who have poured into Syria after the outbreak of the crisis in 2011, are teenagers.
The daily also noted that around 20 percent of the Saudi militants who have returned home say they had been deceived into fighting in the multinational war.
Syria sank into war in March 2011 when pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following the intervention of Western and regional states.
The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.

Exclusive video: Al-Nusra terrorists in Syria confess receiving orders from Arabs, Turks
A number of al-Nusra terrorists has told Al-Alam that they had received orders from foreigners including Arabs and Turks to attack government and public properties in Syria.
The terrorists, who were arrested by Syrian troops in recent operations across Syria, said that nationals from Turkey, Libya, France, Egypt, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Jordan and Algeria are fighting against the Syrian Army.
The al-Nusra members also thanked Syrian troops for their humanitarian behavior with them.
The confessions came as reports say Qatar is training foreign-backed militants operating against the Syrian government as part of Doha's efforts to topple President Bashar al-Assad.
According to French media reports, militants from the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA), the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front and other terrorist groups receive training in the tiny Arab monarchy before being sent to Syria.
The reports further noted that the militants are equipped with anti-tank missiles and global position system (GPS) devices supplied by the United States.
The militants spend one week in Turkey for a medical check-up and then head for Qatar where they undergo three weeks of training.
According to a militant source, around 100 militants are dispatched to Qatar every month to be trained before going to Syria.
Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since March 2011. Damascus says the Western powers and their regional allies -- especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey -- have been fuelling the unrest by providing militants with money and weapons.
The Turkish daily Aydinlik has said in a recent report the former commander of FSA, Salim Idris, acted as a middleman in the transfer of US-made TOW anti-tank missiles from Turkey to the militants in Syria.
About a dozen militants have been trained in Turkey on how to use the weapons, the report said.
Earlier this month, Israeli daily Haaretz said that Tel Aviv is seeking to launch a joint operation with Saudi Arabia to train the foreign-backed militants operating in Syria.

Syria rebels kill 14 civilians in Damascus, including students
The official SANA news agency said a total of four shells struck the capital's neighborhood of Shaghour in the morning hours.
State TV said 14 people were killed and 86 were wounded.
An official at the Damascus Police Command told The Associated Press that two of the mortar shells landed near a school.
Several students who were attending classes at the school were among those killed and wounded in the attack, said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack but Syria's foreign-backed rebels have frequently fired mortars into the capital, killing many people.
Foreign-backed rebel in Syria have launched a deadly attack on an area in central Damascus, killing at least 14 civilians and wounding scores more.
The attacks in the Syrian capital come as the country is preparing to hold a presidential election on June 3 that is hoped to settle the foreign-charged war that has already killed thousands of people.

Hab ein ganz wichtiges und vertrauliches Anliegen.
Mein Vater Said Azim Hashemi oder auch unter dem namen Solmei wurde 1984 in Afghanistan ermordet. Ich weiss das er einige Geschwister hat weiss aber nur das sein einer Bruder Turjalei und seine Schwester Fachria heisst die anderen Namen weiss ich leider nicht und sie glaub ich in Hamburg leben. Ich bin schon eine Weile auf der Suche komm aber leider nicht voran da ich auch nicht genügend Informationen habe. Könnt ihr mir bitte weiterhelfen indem ihr das postet aber bitte anonym. Ein Versuch ist es ja mal wert. DANKE
