    I came across this article today where the Saudi ministry has said it will not employ any imams who hold extremist views. But what I've yet to understand what is extremism? Well in the UK extremism has been defined in 5 points within the Contest 2 strategy. Muslims would be considered as extremists if:

    • They advocate a caliphate, a pan-Islamic state encompassing many countries.

    • They promote Sharia law.

    • They believe in jihad, or armed resistance, anywhere in the world. This would include armed resistance by Palestinians against the Israeli military.

    • They argue that Islam bans homosexuality and that it is a sin against Allah.

    • They fail to condemn the killing of British soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan.

    If this is also the case in our muslim lands such as in Saudi then what hope do we have as an Ummah? We as muslims have to hold on tight to our values and ideas and not allow them to be diluted by fear of being labelled an extremist. The hadith of our noble Prophet Muhammad (saw) is so applicable to our situation today:

    Abu Dhar said, "I was with the Prophet (SAW) one day and I heard him saing: "There is something I fear for my Ummah than the Dajjal." It was then that I became afraid, so I said: " Oh Rasool Allah! Which thing is that?" He (SAW) said; "Misguided and astray scholars."

    Einer der Studenten des Wissen sagte:

    Oh Shaykh, ich sah im Traum ein Haus in das ich hineinging und ich sah Shaykh Al-Albani - rahimehullah - darin liegen. Ich fragte ihn: Oh Shaykh, wer wird nach dir, der Folger (im Hadith) sein?

    Er stand auf und ging zur Tür (des Hauses) und öffnete sie und zeigte mit seiner rechten Hand und und deutete mit seinem Zeigefinger auf einen Ort und sagte: ...Al-Abbad, Al-Abbad.

    Und er wiederholte es solange bis ich lächelnd aufwachte.

    Shaykh 'Abd al-Muhsin al-'Abbad: ...Allah ist die Hilfe.
    ...Ich sage: Allah ist die Hilfe.
    Ich kann diese Stellung nicht erfüllen, und ich bin nicht in der Lage diese jemals zu erfüllen... Ich denke dieser Traum hat eine andere Bedeutung!

    Anas Ibn Malik (Radī Allāhu 'anhu) berichtete, dass der Gesandte Allāhs (SallAllāhu 'alayhi wa Sallam) sagte:

    „In der Nacht, in welcher ich in den Himmel hinaufstieg (Al Mirādsch), traf ich auf Menschen, deren Lippen abgeschnitten wurden, mit einer Schere gemacht aus Feuer.
    Jedes mal wenn ihre Lippen abgetrennt waren, wurden sie wieder zurückgebracht und ihre Lippen wieder geheilt.
    Da sagte ich: "O Gabriel (Jibrīl), wer sind diese Leute?"
    Er sagte: "Dies sind Prediger aus DEINER Gemeinschaft (Ummah), welche reden aber keine Taten tun
    und welche die das Buch Allāhs lesen, und nicht danach handeln.""
