    Sufyan ath-Thawri (rahimahullah) sagte. Hasse niemanden, der Allah gehorcht, und sei barmherzig mit Menschen im Allgemeinen und mit jenen, die du gut kennst (oder sowohl mit dem einfachen Volk, als auch mit gesellschaftlich hochrangigen Menschen).

    Trenne nicht die Bande des (Mutter)Leibes (d.h. Schneide die Beziehung zu Familienmitgliedern und Verwandten nicht ab), und knüpfe Bande mit denen, die ihre Bande mit dir getrennt haben. Vergib jenen, die dir Unrecht taten, und du wirst ein Gefährte der Propheten und Märtyrer werden.

    Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

    Once the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), while passing through one of the grave-yards of Medina or Makkah heard the voices of two persons who were being tortured in their graves. The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi WaSallam) said, "These two persons are being tortured not for a major sin (to avoid)." The Prophet then added, "Yes! (they are being tortured for a major sin). Indeed, one of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine while the other used to go about with calumnies (to make enmity
    between friends). The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) then asked for a green leaf of a date-palm tree, broke it into two pieces and put one on each grave. On being asked why he had done so, he replied, "I hope that their torture might be lessened, till these get dried."
