Genf – Humanitäre Fragen müssen in den Friedensgesprächen vom politischen Prozess abgekoppelt werden. Dieser Meinung ist der syrische Arzt Tawfik Chamaa. Das Humanitäre könne nicht auf eine politische Lösung warten, sagte Chamaa am Rande der Genfer Friedensverhandlungen.
«Die humanitäre Frage kann nicht länger warten. Frauen und Kinder sterben in den eingekesselten Städten an Hunger und an anderen Orten im Bombenhagel», sagte Chamaa, Sprecher der Syrischen Vereinigung Medizinischer Hilfsorganisationen, am Donnerstag zur Nachrichtenagentur sda. Allein am Mittwoch seien bei Bombardierungen auf Aleppo 68 Menschen gestorben.
Chamaa kritisiert, dass humanitäre Belange als Druckmittel benutzt würden, um politische Vorteile zu erlangen. Syrien-Vermittler Lakhdar Brahimi habe zu Beginn der Genfer Konferenz vorgeschlagen, sich zuerst humanitären Fragen zuzuwenden. Das syrische Regime habe allerdings darauf beharrt, zuerst die politischen Themen abzuhandeln.
«Das Humanitäre wird vom Politischen als Geisel genommen», sagt Chamaa. Er fordert, die beiden Fragen zu trennen. Alle Parteien müssten humanitäre Korridore und vorübergehende Waffenruhen respektieren. «Dies verlangt das Internationale Recht.»

"The state collected Zakat on the basis of the Ayah, "Alms are for none but the poor, the needy, those employed to administer the (funds), for those whose hearts have been (recently) reconciled (to truth), for those in bondage, and in debt, in the cause of Allah, and for the wayfarer. It is ordained by Allah. And Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom." [TMQ At-Tauba: 60]
The practice of the Prophet saws was that he saws, the Head of state, was the one who hired people to collect and spend Zakat within the eight mentioned categories.
The Shariah stipulated a specific monetary standard for society; it made gold and silver the basis of monetary exchange. The Messenger saws also established laws that distinguished between public and private property. He saws stated "The people (citizens of the Islamic State) are partners in three: Water, green pastures and fire."
He saws also defined the halal (permissible) means of ownership and administered the laws relating to workers rights, hiring and employment."

Do the Police not have more pressing issues to be worrying themselves with, also utilizing their time onmore serious crimes occurring rather than wasting their time and the tax payers money by arresting these men for taking food which had been disposed of?
Has it become customary to allow your fellow human being to go without the basics or even starve in order to be "Politically seen as doing the correct thing", and if this is the correct thing to be doing then is it not an indication of how wrong this system is and how much it has failed its citizens?
Some statistics to digest:
*Every year in the UK 18 million tonnes of food end up in landfill.
Approx 1/3 from producers/ supply chain, 1/3 from retail and 1/3 from households
*Annual value : £23 BILLION [and rising rapidly due to soaring prices]
*Massive environmental damage and landfill costs to dispose
*Many people, groups and families on low incomes/ poverty unable to afford "healthy" foods [and rising rapidly due to soaring prices/ fuel costs etc]
"Food Poverty" and widespread poor health resulting – contributing dually in mal-nutrition and obesity levels
*Disposal costs to business passed on to consumers in higher prices, landfill costs in local taxes – less income
The above demonstrate the extent of abuse on our food resources when we know and see 75% of the world suffering.
How dare the police arrest these men!! It should be the duty of the state to ensure that every individual has his/her basic needs met ie food, shelter and clothing as it was under the Khilafah system.

Being a mother of 3, I was absolutely horrified when I came across the new Flora margerine advertisement!!!
Narrated by a young boy it explains how he and his brother made a surprise breakfast for their mum and dads anniversary, using plenty of "tasty Flora buttery" as they enter into their parents room, to discover they're awake and the older sibling covers his brothers eyes, saying "mummy won't let us watch wrestling on tv but she seems pretty good at it herself"
The sexual innuendo is so obvious! The western world has become so sexually charged that even food manufacturers are sexualising their adverts to catch consumers attention. Capitalism has allowed for sexualisation to prevail at all levels even if it's at the expense of breaking a child's innocence.
Rightly so the Flora advert has received many complaints from mothers who feel their children were being exposed to "the world of wrestling!"

10. Are there other systems of Islamic governance other than the Khilafah?
A. An examination of the Qur'an highlights multiple verses which have all been revealed to be implemented and executed be they military, criminal, political and economic. They were effectively implemented in the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (saw), the period of the Khulafaa' ArRashidoon, as well as during the ruling of the Khulafaa' who came after them. The Prophet (saw) confirmed the Khilafah was Islam's system of governance, he said in a hadith: "The Prophet ruled over the children of Israel, whenever a Prophet died another Prophet succeeded him, but there will be no Prophet after me. There will soon be Khulafa' and they will number many." They asked: 'what then do you order us?' He said: "Fulfil the Bay'ah to them, one after the other and give them their dues for Allah will verily account them about what he entrusted them with. "

There is nothing more precious than a child. I try to prepare myself everyday and say, "God, give me patience if one of my children is ever martyred. God put patience in my heart." This is Aboude's life. The revolution and chanting is in his blood.
He said to me, "Mum don't be sad if I become a martyr." He sang me a song and sent it to me on my mobile. It went, "The martyr went, went to heaven. Mother don't be sad for me." He sent me that song. I said, "We'll all be martyrs one day but you're still too young my son."

Extract taken from the Channel 4 documentary 'Children on the Frontline' looking at how the lives of some Syrian children have changed during the conflict.
The pain a mother feels when losing her child is the most unbearable. No mother wishes to outlive their children, yet imagine having that feeling day in and day out. That your child is in danger of being kidnapped, of being sexually abused, of being killed or mutilated? Everyday becomes agonizing. It is simply the tawakkul Allah that keeps them going. Keeping their hope and trust in the Creator alone, whilst everyone else has abandoned them.
What will we say to these mothers when we are raised to account? Because there will come a day where each and everyone of these mothers will question us and ask us where our Brotherhood was in their time of need! How will we answer...or more so will our answer be sufficient?

This article covers some very important points about a mothers daily duties and how difficult it is to be a mother. But why must everything be seen through the eyes of capitalism? Where everything must have a price attached to it in order to know its worth. It feels as though if you don't show people the monetary value of something, they won't learn to appreciate it. As a mother myself I'm honoured that a man has taken the time to look at the mothers worth, but at the same time I feel objectified once again in this society where my value is attached to knowing how much I can get paid for the work I do.
Alhamdhulillah for Islam - without which we cannot totally enjoy being parents. In Islam, parents are given a direct responsibility by the Creator to bring up children well. It's a command that can't be taken lightly - therefore as Muslim mums we don't need a list of chores a mum carries out to show us our worth. We do it all to please Allah. Bringing up children is rewarding in the dunya, but the actual and most awaited reward will be handed by Allah inshaAllah.

Q- Did the Khilafah only last for 30 years?
A- This understanding is usually built upon the hadith which was narrated in the Musnad of Imam Ahmad, which states that the Prophet (saw) said, "The Khilafah in my Ummah after me will be for thirty years. Then there will be Mulk after that." Some people translate the word mulk as Kingship. The period of the Khilafah Rashida lasted for 30 years: two years and three months for Abu Bakr (ra), ten and a half years for Umar (ra), twelve years for Uthman (ra), four years and nine months for Ali (ra), and six months for al-Hasan (ra). The Khilafah itself continued until its abolishment on 3rd March 1924 by Mustafa Kemal in Turkey. The word mulk has many meanings, the famous Arabic dictionaries such as "Al- Muhit" of Fairuz Al-Abadi, clearly illustrate this. The word mulk amongst other things does mean kingship, but also it means the one having charge over all the people, and also the word "hukm" (rule), is synonymous with the word sultan (authority), and mulk (dominion/rule). Thus after 30 years the Khilafah did not come to an end, this can be evidenced by the stances of major figures like leading scholars such as Imam Abu Hanifah and his student Imam Abu Yusuf. When reconciled with other evidences which clearly show Islamic rule continued after 30 years, it becomes clear that Khilafah Rashida ended after 30 years, but Khilafah continued. Whilst the strength of Islamic rule went through various phases in history, from misapplication to strong, the Islamic texts – the Shari'ah always remained the source of laws until the final years of the Ottomans.
