Einer der salaf sagte: „Gläubige und Ungläubige mögen gleicherweise Geduld haben in Zeiten der Not, aber nur Leute mit starkem Glauben können Geduld zu Zeiten der Erleichterung haben." Aus diesem Grund warnte Allah vor der Fitnah des Wohlstands, Frauen und Kindern: „O ihr, die ihr glaubt, lasset euch durch euer Vermögen und eure Kinder nicht vom Gedenken an Allah abhalten. Und wer das tut - das sind die Verlierenden." (63:9) „O ihr, die ihr glaubt, wahrlich, unter euren Frauen und Kindern sind welche, die euch feindlich gesonnen sind; so hütet euch vor ihnen." (64:14) Die Feindschaft, auf die sich in diesen ayat bezogen wird, ist nicht jene, die aus Hass und Streitigkeit resultiert, sondern jene, die aus Liebe und Fürsorge resultiert, die Eltern von religiösen Pflichten abhalten könnten, wie hijrah, jihad, Wissen zu suchen und sadaqah zu geben.
