He was directed to a monk. He came to him and told him that he had killed ninety-nine people and asked him if there was any chance for his repentance to be accepted. He replied in the negative and the man killed him also completing one hundred. He then asked about the most learned man in the earth. He was directed to a scholar. He told him that he had killed one hundred people and asked him if there was any chance for his repentance to be accepted. He replied in the affirmative and asked, `Who stands between you and repentance? Go to such and such land; there (you will find) people devoted to prayer and worship of Allah, join them in worship, and do not come back to your land because it is an evil place.' So he went away and hardly had he covered half the distance when death overtook him; and there was a dispute between the angels of mercy and the angels of torment. The angels of mercy pleaded, 'This man has come with a repenting heart to Allah,' and the angels of punishment argued, 'He never did a virtuous deed in his life.' Then there appeared another angel in the form of a human being and the contending angels agreed to make him arbiter between them. He said, `Measure the distance between the two lands. He will be considered belonging to the land to which he is nearer.' They measured and found him closer to the land (land of piety) where he intended to go, and so the angels of mercy collected his soul". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. In another version: "He was found to be nearer to the locality of the pious by a cubit and was thus included among them". Another version says: "Allah commanded (the land which he wanted to leave) to move away and commanded the other land (his destination) to draw nearer and then He said: "Now measure the distance between them.' It was found that he was nearer to his goal by a hand's span and was thus forgiven". It is also narrated that he drew closer by a slight movement on his chest. Commentary: 1. One comes to know from this Hadith that the gate of Taubah is open even for the worst of the sinners; and Allah forgives everyone provided he repents sincerely, the conditions for such repentance have already been discussed. 2. It is the duty of a religious scholar that while discussing a problem, he should keep in mind the psychological aspects of the questioner and adopt a policy which neither causes a change in the Injunction of Allah nor make the sinner reckless in his sins out of frustration. 3. When a situation warrants, angels appear in the form of men on Orders of Allah. This motif has been reiterated by all #Muslims theologians to confirm that there is no place in #Islam for belief in God being inherent in His own creation, a concept known as God's omnipresence, ubiquity, or pantheism (from pan- "all" + Greek theos "god") [2]. This concept underlies almost all famous world religions and mythologies. It simply makes the creation, or part of it, a manifestation of God. Anthropomorphic theologies - those that give human attributes to God - adopt pantheism as their bedrock belief. Hindu Lord Krishna is quoted to say: "I exist in all creatures, So the disciplined man devoted to me Grasps the oneness of life, Wherever he is, he is in me"[3] Indigenous pagans religion of Japan known as Shinto (literally ways of the gods) confesses belief in Kami [which] refers to the divinity, or sacred essence, that manifests in multiple forms. Rocks, trees, rivers, animals, places, and even people can be said to possess the nature of Kami. Kami and people exist within the same world and share its interrelated complexity.[4] Why is Islam so unwaveringly pitted against this unanimously welcomed notion? Muslim scholars quote more than a thousand proofs from the Quran alone that God is in the highest status of supremacy above the heavens (above all creation): "Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High" (Quran 87:1) "They fear their Lord above them, and they do what they are commanded." (Quran 16:50) This however does not preclude the fact that God has complete knowledge of His creation (without being part of it). He is the Creator and the Sustainer of everything and nothing comes into existence except by His will. He has complete power and authority over all that exists. This does not mean much to those who do not believe the Quran to be the word of God. However, there are gross conceptual inaccuracies resulting from holding a belief that God is physically and literally permeating his creation. The offshoots of this concept are against logic, religion and morality. 1- Pantheism is a form of atheism enlivened with emotions of reverence of the creation, or as Richard Dawkins puts, it's a sexed-up atheism[5]. It's a rejection of God as an independent being, intertwined with channeling religious emotions to the physical world. Atheism simply aims at a God-less interpretation of life, whereas pantheism appeals to scientists who can't do without a flavour of spirituality when they see symmetry and order in creation. In one of his letters, Albert Einstein, a professed pantheist, writes "We followers of Spinoza see our God in the wonderful order and lawfulness of all that exists and in its soul ["Beseeltheit"] as it reveals itself in man and animal."[6] God becomes testable and researchable and scientists can be their own clergy!! 2- The questions of "Did God and the Universe start to exist together in this case?" and "Is God the Creator of the Universe?" become redundant in this context; the answer is God could not have existed before a thing He cannot be envisaged without, and because He cannot have created a thing without being distinct from it, He cannot be a Creator of a creation He is enmeshed in. In short, this theological approach has fully decapacitated God and made him unable to subsist autonomously for a second. In his Bezels of Wisdom, Ibn Arabi, the pantheist Sufi, explains the mystery of how God (who is Infinite) is inseparably captured within the finite creation in a striking yet hardly comprehensible metaphor: The universe is the food of God and God is the food of the universe; as deity swallows up the cosmos, so the cosmos swallows up deity. God and the world have therefore to have started being together. 3- Needless to say, all classical acts of worship become superfluous: If God permeates me and I permeate Him, how and why should I pray to anything when I have God inside me as well, in other words - God is being prayed to by God?!! Actually, abstaining from all forms of worship would be more understandable than doing any in view of this leveling immanentism; the spiritual hierarchy of all creation, which is supposed to have God on top of it, collapses into a demotivating spiritual lethargy. Instead, one hears nebulous terms like revering and celebrating nature, which are only a priori attendants of any belief in God as a distinct Creator who created nature without being identical with it. 4- Why certain objects or animals are worshipped can now be easily understood, especially if aiding myths speak of the divine sparks in them. Intensely based on animal-worship and idolization of nature, Hinduism sees animals and elements of nature as manifestations of the Divine Power. This elevation of nature however can't be without a simultaneous denigration of Divinity that has always been synonymous with sacredness and majesty. God has become so indiscriminately mundane that He can be inherent in putrefaction and in as many filths and inappropriate places as one can enumerate. The pantheist Sufi Ibn Arabi, as do all expounders of this theory, leaves out carrions of dead animals, stagnant, odorous and putrid marshes, and all slovenly places God is implied to be inherent in, and poetically selects where he believes God to be: My heart can take on any form: a meadow for gazelles, a cloister for monks, For the idols, sacred ground, Ka'ba for the circling pilgrim, the tables of the Torah, the scrolls of the Quran.[7] Sufis are also understandably known for their pursuit of Fanaa' (Literally self-annihilation) which aims at spiritually losing oneself into God, again a conceptual deviation utterly shrouded in mystery. As in all parallel paradigms, the revered incomprehensibility orders believers to just have faith and never to give up being mystified when thinking of God, rather than try to understand. 6- Having intently departed from the concept of a transcendent awe-inspiring God, pantheism can hardly furnish any bedding for conceivable and applicable ethics. A transcendent Deity is essential for the long cherished norms of sin and evil, and morality has to find motivators other than reward and punishment, a thing that no human set of laws has ever proved able to do without. Similarly, the bipolarity of good and evil cannot be hosted in such a context; God who is believed to be all good and perfect cannot emanate evil. Hence all manifestations of evil that we see should consequently be classified as good. Such a theory is unjustifiably inhospitable to the basic values that characterize human life and clashes with simple logic. Where ethical deterrents and stimuli are both missing, anarchy prevails and the urge for evil cannot be held in check. Antwort: - Der Sāhib al-Khisāl von den Hanābilah überlieferte von dem Imām Ahmad, dass er diejenigen zu Ungläubigen erklärte, die sagten: „Allāh ist ein Körper, nicht wie die anderen Körper". Wir fragen diese Verkörperlicher: Ist es richtig zu sagen, dass die Wand nicht erschaffen ist? Die Antwort lautet: Nein, die Wand ist erschaffen. Und der Körper ist ebenfalls erschaffen. So darf nicht über Allāh gesagt werden „Körper, nicht wie die anderen Körper". Denn als er sagte „Körper" bedeutet dies: Geschöpf. Und als er daraufhin sagte „nicht wie die anderen Körper" ist daraus ein Widerspruch entstanden! Das heißt der Verkörperlicher sagt in Wirklichkeit „Allāh ist erschaffen, Allāh ist nicht erschaffen". So etwas nennt sich Widerspruch! Nachdem der Verkörperlicher Allāh als erschaffen bezeichnet hat, rettet ihn die Aussage „aber Er ist nicht erschaffen" nicht vor dem Unglauben. Wenn jemand zu diesen Verkörperlichern sagen würde: „Du bist töricht, aber nicht wie die Törichten". Akzeptiert er das?! Wenn jemand zu diesen Verkörperlichern sagen würde: „Du bist unwissend, aber nicht wie die Unwissenden". Akzeptiert er das?! Wenn jemand zu diesen Verkörperlichern sagen würde: „Du bist dumm, aber nicht wie die Dummen". Akzeptiert er das?! Wie kann er dann über Allāh sagen „erschaffen" und dann „aber nicht erschaffen"?! Die Beschimpfung Gottes hat schon stattgefunden, die Aussage danach rettet ihn nicht vor dem Unglauben. Wer behauptet, dass der Körper nicht erschaffen wäre, der leugnet die Āyah {قل الله خالق كل شىء} Die Bedeutung lautet: „Allāh ist der Schöpfer aller Dinge". Und der Körper gehört zu den Dingen. Wer ist der Schöpfer der Körper? Allāh! Also ähnelt Er ihnen nicht. Erhaben ist Allāh darüber, sich in einer Richtung aufzuhalten, von einem Ort beinhaltet zu sein oder sich in etwas von Seiner Schöpfung aufzulösen. Er ist nicht innerhalb des Universums noch außerhalb davon, weder getrennt vom Universum noch verbunden damit. Erhaben ist Er über Körper, Bild und Bestandteile. Die sechs Richtungen beinhalten Ihn nicht, jedoch umgeben sie die Geschöpfe. Was auch immer du dir vorstellst, Allāh ähnelt dem nicht. Und wer Allāh eine Bedeutung der Eigenschaften der Geschöpfe zuschreibt, der ist ungläubig. Die Behauptung der Verkörperlicher: Die Verkörperlicher behaupten, dass Allāh zwei körperliche, Hände hätte. Sie behaupten dieses aus dem edlen Qur'ān entnommen zu haben, da das Wort „Yad" in einigen āyāt in Bezug auf Allāh erwähnt wird. Sie übersetzen es dann mit "Hand" und versuchen damit zu suggerieren, dass Allāh Körperteile hätte. Zum korrekten Verständnis der Bedeutung des Wortes يد „Yad", ist das Verständnis der Araber entscheidend, nicht was irgendjemand meint davon verstanden zu haben. Denn manch ein Verständnis ist beeinträchtigt worden und die Bedeutung des Wortes, anhand eines mit Verkörperlichung beeinträchtigten Verständnisses zu deuten, während man in Unkenntnis der arabische Sprache ist, ist keine Interpretation, sondern Spielen mit der Religion. Das Wort „Yad" ist mehrdeutig: Tatsache ist, dass der bekannte Sprachwissenschaftler al-Fayrūz'abādī erwähnte in „al-Basā'ir Dhawī t-Tamyīz" (5/381) erwähnte, dass das Wort يد „Yad" in der arabischen Sprache mehr als 14 Bedeutungen hat. Der Imām at-Tabarī sagte bezüglich der Āyah 45 der Sūrah Sād, in seinem Tafsīr "Djāmiʿ al-Bayān", Zitat: فإن قال لنا قائل: وما الأيدي من القوّة، والأيدي إنـما هي جمع يد، والـيد جارحة، وما العقول من الأبصار، وإنـما الأبصار جمع بصر؟ قـيـل: إن ذلك مثل، وذلك أن بـالـيد البطش، وبـالبطش تُعرف قوّة القويّ، فلذلك قـيـل للقويّ: ذويَدٍ "Wenn jemand zu uns sagt: ‚Al-Aydī kommt nicht von dem Wort Macht. Sondern das Wort Al-Aydī ist der Plural von Yad. Und al-Yad ist ein Körperteil'. Zu dem wird gesagt: ‚Dies ist eine Metapher, da der mächtige Griff mit der Hand ausgeführt wird. Und mit dem mächtige Griff wird die Macht des Mächtigen erkannt. Deshalb wird zu dem Mächtigen gesagt ‚derjenige mit dem Yad'". Der Imām ʿAlī Ibn Abū Tālib, Radiya l-Lāhu ʿAnhu, sagte: قال الإمام علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه: "سيرجع قوم من هذه الأمة عند اقتراب الساعة كفارًا ينكرون خالقهم فيصفونه بالجسم والأعضاء" راوه ابن المعلم القرشي في كتابه نجم المهتدي ورجم المعتدي „Eine Gruppe von dieser Gemeinschaft wird, wenn die Zeit nahe geworden ist, zu Ungläubigen werden. Sie leugnen ihren Schöpfer und schreiben Ihm Körper und Körperteile zu". (Überliefert von Ibnu l-Muʿallim al-Quraschī in „Nadjm al-Muhtadī wa Radjm al-Muʿtadī" S.588) -Der Schaykh des Imām al-Bukhārī, Nuʿaym Ibn Hammād, sagte: "Wer Allāh Ähnlichkeit mit etwas von Seiner Schöpfung zuschreibt, der ist ungläubig". Der Verkörperlicher schreibt Allāh nicht nur Ähnlichkeit mit den Geschöpfen zu, sondern er bezeichnet Ihn als Geschöpf! Überliefert von al-Lalkā'ī in seinem Werk "Scharh Usūl al-Iʿtiqād". Ebenfalls von den Salaf, der Imām Abu l-Hassan Al-Aschʿarī, er sagte in seinem Werk „An-Nawādir": "منِ اعتقد أنَّ اللهَ جِسم فهو غير عارف ِبربِّه وإنه كافر به" „Derjenige der glaubt, dass Allāh ein Körper wäre, der hat keine Kenntnis über seinen Schöpfer und ist ein Ungläubiger" . Der Imām al-Hāfidh al-ʿIrāqī und der Imām al-Qarāfī und der Schaykh Ibn Hadjar al-Haytamī und Mullā ʿAlī al-Qārī und Muhammad Zāhid al-Kawtharī und andere überlieferten in ihren Werken, dass die 4 Imāme, asch-Schāfiʿī, Mālik, Ahmad und Abū Hanīfah diejenigen zu Ungläubigen erklärten, die Allāh eine Richtung und einen Körper zuschreiben. Die Aussagen des Imām Abu Hanīfah bezüglich der Eigenschaft al-Yad: - Abū Hanīfah, der zu den Imāmen der Salaf gehört, sagte in "al-Fiqh al-Absat" bezüglich der Āyah {يَدُ اللَّهِ فَوْقَ أيْدِيهِمْ}, Zitat: „Es ist kein Körperteil.
