Shokët iu përgjigjen se nuk do ti mbesi kurfarë papastërtie. Me këtë rast ai u tha: kështu është shembulli i namazit, Zoti xh.sh. me anë të tij ia fëshin mëkatet (gjynahet e vogla atij që falet). Njerëzit, tä cilët falen, e që namazi nuk ndikon fare në rixitjen e tyre për punë të mira ose për t'i prapësuar nga punët e këqija, me siguri namazin e falin vetëm formalisht ose sa për sy e faqe para të tjerëve. Vlera dhe rëndësia e namazit më së miri mund të kuptohet kur merret parasysh se Zoti xh.sh. për faljen e tij, ka urdhëruar në më se shtatëdhjetë vende në Kur'an dhe se Muhamedi a.s. me shumë hadise ka porositur për kryerjen e tij. Andaj, moszbatimi i kësaj detyre të shenjtë, numërohet ndër mëkatet e mëdha, që shkakton ndëshkimin e Zotit, nëse Zoti nuk ja falë këtë mëkat nga mëshira e Tij.
