Duhet të qëndroni larg shprehjeve si "rregullo rrobat, je shumë rrëmujaxhi".Nuk zgjidhen problemet me të bërtitura Çdo nënë dhe baba kalon momente të vështira me fëmijët e tyre. Shpesh dëgjohen shprehje si "mos, prit, mbylle, do të çmendem prej jush, do të iki nga shtëpia", etj. Ndërkohë që kemi dëshirë të jemi nëna dhe baballarë tolerantë, kthehemi menjëherë në prindër që bërtasin dhe reagojnë ndaj çdo veprimi të fëmijëve. Megjithëse nëna dhe babai e paralajmërojnë disa here, fëmija vazhdon të përsërisë të njëjtat sjellje. Çfarë duhet të bëjnë prindërit kur flasin me fëmijën e tyre dhe mundohen ta bindin të heqë dorë nga ajo sjellje? P.sh kur jeni duke folur me një shok apo shoqen tuaj ju ndërpret bisedën disa herë ose kur vjen nga shkolla i hedh rrobat mbi divan, lëshon çantën në mes të sallonit, nuk vjen në tavolinë edhe pasi e keni thirrur disa here. Pra nuk plotëson përgjegjësitë e tij brenda shtëpisë, flet shumë në telefon, dëgjon muzikë me zë të lartë. Prindërit që përballen me situata të tilla duhet të kërkojnë momentin e duhur për të folur me fëmijët. Në një vend dhe kohë ku mund të qëndrojnë vetëm për vetëm dhe të komunikojnë. Duhet folur shumë sinqerisht duke e parë drejt në sy. Për t'u mirëkuptuar nga fëmija dhe për të shkuar në vend fjalët e prindit , nëna dhe babai duhet t'i shpjegojnë të qetë mënyrën sesi ndikohen nga sjelljet e tij. Në vend të fjalës "ti" të përdoret "unë" "Të urdhërosh, të drejtosh, paralajmërosh, ta paragjykosh, ta kritikosh, tallësh, turpërosh është një nga metodat e dështuara të përdora shpesh nga prindërit. Në vend të shprehjeve "rregullo rrobat! Je një fëmijë shumë rrëmujaxhi", "nuk arrin të lidhësh as këpucët" nëna dhe babai duhet të përqendrohen mbi ndikimin e kësaj sjelljeje tek vetë ato. Mund të përdoren shprehje si "Kur nuk i rregullon rrobat shtëpia duket e çrregullt dhe kjo gjë më nervozon", "kam frikë se mos rrëzohet njeri kur i lë lodrat kështu të hapura gjithandej". Kështu fëmija arrin të kuptojë mënyrën sesi ndikohen prindërit nga sjellja e tij. Nuk ndihet i fajësuar në mënyrë direkte, dhe ndjen nevojën të ndihmojë nënën dhe babanë. Gjuha "unë" është një lloj shprehje, e cila shpjegon ndjenjat dhe mendimet, reagimin individual në momentin kur personi përballet me një gjendje apo sjellje. Në vend të fjalëve "mos u trego i pasjellshëm, nuk flitet kështu me nënën dhe babanë" mund të përdorni "ndihem shumë keq kur më flet kështu duke bërtitur, dhe mendoj se nuk më respekton" dhe kështu do të shprehni edhe ndjenjat edhe mendimet tuaja. Shprehja e ndjenjave tona ndihmon që personi përballë të kuptojë më mirë gjendjen. Duke vendosur veten në vendin e tyre, ai arrin të kuptojë ndryshimet e sjelljes dhe të krijojë empati. Shpalosja e mendimeve dhe ndjenjave të vërteta pa e fajësuar atë, pra përdorimi i gjuhës "unë" në vend të gjuhës "ti" në momentin kur një sjellje e fëmijës na duket e papranueshme e ndihmon atë të kuptojë rolin dhe përgjegjësinë pa pasur nevojë të mbrohet. Prandaj fëmija do të përpiqet të ndryshojë sjelljen e tij të "papranueshme" duke ndihmuar prindërit. Çfarë dhe si duhet t'ia themi? Në marrëdhënien tuaj me fëmijët më e rëndësishme është mënyra se si ia shpjegoni gjërat sesa çfarë i shpjegoni. Sipas një studimi bëhet e ditur se njerëzit përballë nesh ndikohen 15 % nga fjalët e përdora në mesazhin e dhënë, 35 % nga toni i zërit dhe 50 % nga gjuha e trupit.
