Der eine hieß Skeptiker und der andere Muslim. Eines Tages ergab sich folgendes Gespräch: Der kleine Skeptiker fragte: "Glaubst du wirklich an ein Leben nach der Geburt?" Darauf der kleine Muslim: "Ja klar glaube ich an ein Leben nach der Geburt! Hier im Bauch ist doch nur die Vorbereitung auf das eigentliche Leben, das uns nach der Geburt erwartet." Der kleine Skeptiker war damit nicht einverstanden: "Blödsinn, das gibt es doch gar nicht! Ein Leben nach der Geburt, lächerlich, wie soll das denn bitte aussehen?" Darauf der Muslim: "Es wird alles heller sein. Du wirst mit deinen Augen wunderbare Dinge sehen können, die du dir jetzt nicht einmal vorstellen kannst, und wir werden mit unseren Beinen in einer, uns noch unbekannten Welt, herumlaufen und mit dem Mund essen." Da unterbrach ihn der kleine Skeptiker: "Mit dem Mund essen? Geht's noch? Schau her! Was meinst du, wozu du diese Nabelschnur hast? Und die ist viel zu kurz, wo willst du denn damit hinlaufen? Willst du etwa mit den Beinen laufen?" "Nach der Geburt wird eben alles anders zugehen." meinte der kleine Muslim. Doch der kleine Skeptiker erwiderte: " Es ist doch so, das noch keiner von "nach der Geburt" zurückkam. Mit der Geburt ist alles zu Ende. Ende - aus. Es gibt kein Leben nach der Geburt! Der Sinn des Lebens besteht darin, sich hier so lange und so gut wie möglich zu behaupten." Da sagte der kleine Muslim: "Nach der Geburt werden wir unsere Mutter sehen! Darauf meinte der kleine Skeptiker: " Du glaubst an eine Mutter? Wo ist sie denn bitte, deine Mutter?" Der kleine Muslim lachte fröhlich als er sagte: " Erstens ist sie auch deine Mutter, ob du das glaubst oder nicht und sie ist überall. Wir sind und leben in ihr und durch sie. Ohne sie könnten wir gar nicht sein." Darauf entgegnete der kleine Skeptiker: "Ach hör doch auf! Von der Mutter habe ich noch nie etwas gehört. Warum lässt sie uns dann hier allein? Wo ist sie denn? Ich glaube nur, was ich sehe!" Da sprach der kleine Muslim: " Deine Augen funktionieren noch gar nicht. Sehen wirst du sie dann - glauben musst du heute.
