Und welchen Unterschied gibt es zwischen „makruh" und „haram"? Antwort: Alles Lob gebührt Allah. „Makruh" bedeutet in der arabischen Sprache: das Gegenteil von beliebt, oder erwünscht. In der Scharia' (islamischen Gesetzgebung) bedeutet es etwas, was der Gesetzgeber von uns verlangt, was wir nicht tun sollen, aber in undefinierter Weise. Es kann gesagt werden, dass es bedeutet, dass wenn jemand es aus Gehorsam unterlässt, er dafür belohnt wird, aber derjenige, der es tut, wird nicht bestraft. „Haram" bedeutet im arabischen: verboten. In der Scharia' bedeutet es, dass es der Gesetzgeber in definierter Weise verbietet. Haram ist das Gegenteil von halal (erlaubt). Eine Person wird dafür belohnt, wenn sie haram unterlässt. (Aber nur wenn sie es) aufgrund von Gehorsamkeit und nicht aus Furcht, Schüchternheit, oder Unfähigkeit es zu tun, (unterlässt). Wenn dies der Fall wäre, so würde sie beim Unterlassen (von haram) nicht belohnt.
